        thanks in advance
Okay i found out on the net about frame sliders. Now i have two concerns, if one is available for this bike and the other concern is how will it effect the looks ...
Well like folks around here said. Frame sliders protect the bikes body work. Essentially, in case you have a low speed crash..or someone tips her over in the parking lott............ it will protect your frame.
Especially important in traffic conditions like india. You never know when someone decides to cut you off, and in a hurry you might end up grabbing your brakes too hard. Brakes on SBKs are surreal. And considering the weight of the bike, it will dip quite a bit forward. Now the bike might feel light and nimble when you ride it, but after a certain lean angle it reveals its weight. And there is no chance in hell will you be able to keep her from being laid down unless you get your foot down in time.
So just get the frame sliders. Doesnt effect the looks at all. Its a standard mod that everyone does to SBKs.
Also...there are 2 kinds of frame sliders.
        1. No Cut
        2. Cut

As the name suggests....No cut ones need no modifications to the frame or body work where as the Cut ones need.
Frame sliders for the Honda's are expensive when compared to other bikes. Honda seems to have made it really difficult for people to mod bikes....esp true in case of a 600rr. Anyway....hopefully it isnt too expensive for the Blade and they should be available.
        Ride safe and respect her.

This is the only version of Fireblade available by Honda in India. We were talking to MD marketing/sales honda, he said they have imported the top most model of this bike because they want to show their best first.
As for colour, only two are available. The other one is black.
Mine is not the first ABS, i am not sure how many imported ones are there, but this fireblade by honda is the 6th one they sold in india, so definitely there are more out there. cheers
and about the ABS. you have to actually try to lock up the wheel to feel it out hehe which by the way i did.... ive done it a couple of times, squeezed the front brake hard, so just when the wheel should lock up, it gets released , a funny sound comes and the wheel does not lock, the intensity of the braking reduces just a bit.
This bike has got Combined ABS , not just ABS. basically it means the abs is applied to rear and front in a combination, and the rear brake is automatically applied if you press the front brake lever.....
May the torque be with you..

That means even if you apply only Front Brakes the rear Breaks would be automatically applied..? And is it true Vice Versa too..?

They dont have any other colours in india yet. They might import new colours later.... no idea.

The front brakes do not get applied when rear is applied. In fact i have not yet felt the rear ones getting applied when only the front is applied, as i have not tried it yet.(you will agree that trying only front brakes, that too on a superbike can be a little bit scary ). All of that is still in theory from the honda engineers....
But whatever the case maybe, the brakes of the bike are awesome and they give you alot of confidence...

What is the running in method prescribed for this bike by Honda in the manual?

Honda has written a single sentence for run-in (breaking in) in their manual. They have just mentioned to take care of bike for the initial stage and not ride at high speeds. Thats all

In that case don't go over 6000 rpm in any gear for the 1st 1000 kms. Have they told you when the 1st service is due?

                                Hello,
I did not mention this before, but before we got the delivery of the bike, Honda gave us (bro and me) two days training on safety and techniques involved when riding. They give this training to any customer of theirs who wants to get it, but for customers who are buying super bikes, they highly recommend it.
It was very helpful and fun, and apart from that the effort honda is making is very commendable. The training included practical and theory and it had SAFETY first always.
I just respect Honda so much after my experience. Speaking to their engineers and trainers who have undergone extensive training themselves in places like japan/australia/singapore, i found out that Honda has always stood up for safety first and had made many initiatives in this direction.
My trainer, Mr. Harpreet Singh was rightly saying that in India, no one is trained for riding a two wheeler, which is right . kids just pick up their dad's/friend's bike and hit the street !
Well just wanted to share my experience and hope there is more awareness about safety in India.
Here are some of the pictures taken during the training. The bike used was CB 400... amazing bike that one too ...

They have a simulator for gauging how safely you ride on roads, and react to real life situations etc etc.

India has a very high percentage of deaths due to road accidents and its rising !

Finally I was awarded a certificate and a medal of honor from Mr Harpreet Singh (my trainer who was very patient and kind to me )of Honda for being a safe rider
