Here's some answers which are WD-40 related.
I'm sure this should clear most of the doubts. The tests are very detailed. Runs a couple of pages so check it out! There's no considerable wear on the O-rings.
Chain O-ring WD-40 exposure effects study and results - ADVrider
I personally have used Kerosene and Motul degreaser to clean the chain on my R15. Its always in a big mess after riding in the rains. And also recently have sprayed a "little" bit of WD-40 and left it overnight, and it had dried up by the next day and i followed by a complete lubrication of the chain using Motul Chain Lube as i had noticed the chain rusting a bit before the cleaning began. I see No issues as the lube has held up very well. Only things u need to keep away from the O-rings are Petrol/Deisel and some other things.
I wasnt sure of Using WD-40 as a degreaser but after reading above it doesn seem to be harmful. Although i would still suggest that you use a degreaser other than WD-40. As WD-40 doesnt dry up and remains for a long time as opposed to say Motul degreaser. It disolves the grime and also removes exisiting lube from the chain and it might hinder the lubrication process as the chain has to retain all the lube as a good amount of WD-40 remaining on the chain might not do good for fresh lube. Anyway wont speculate further. Check out the above link.
Cheers!

The experiment was carried out under what you call "test conditions". A proper road test would be more satisfactory. Nice initiative though. Seems no one in the world knows for sure what works and what does not.Originally posted by KwokFist View PostI'm sure this should clear most of the doubts. The tests are very detailed. What's going on here? You people are running amok. What is this thread and what is the discussion going on here? Am moving all these posts to the General SBK Discussion Thread. Requesting the members to please be aware of whether they are posting something which belongs in another thread.
This is meant to be an ownership thread of Fireblah's CBR, not a generic discussion on shootouts and comparos."Tough times never last, but tough people do." - Robert Schuller

I had the first 220 in my college. Experienced these events for about first two months. I had to whistle loudly and nod my head in disapproval. Maybe you should too.

Just do not leave the bike alone. Remember what we told when we went Wellington. We said that the bike is on side stand so please do not touch. You can see it but you can't touch it.
That reminded me few lines of a song.
'My Hump' by The black eyed peas.
here it goes.
"Tryin' a feel my hump, hump.
Lookin' at my lump, lump.
You can look but you can't touch it,
If you touch it I'ma start some drama,
You don't want no drama,
No, no drama, no, no, no, no drama
So don't pull on my hand boy,
You ain't my man, boy,
I'm just tryn'a dance boy,
And move my hump."
P.S - Replace Hump + Lump with blade.

Yes, Fireblah bro, do take good care of the 'Blade.
BTW Have you tried some Teflon Coating or something similar? My friend has it on Karizma, it was easily removed later on, and the bike looks totally new even after 3-4 years...
and also, Who's that Shirtless guy, in the right side of first photo? Is he poor or trying to be stylish?
