  • Yes, heard the dropping incident from Fireblah yesterday. I am really sad.
I would say never leave the bike alone in a crowded place. People here will touch, turn on and off the switches, will try to take photo with their mobile phones sitting on the bike. May even put scratchs intentionally when no one is around the bike. This is their mentality. We can't do anything about it.

BTW, Fireblah came to my place (65km from Fireblah's place) yesterday. Had a little ride together around the town.

    • forget about super bikes thes idiots scre nicely done stickering job also

We all love our bikes the way it is let it be a 100 cc or 1000+ cc super bike, we love it adore it, we maintain it but there are some bunch of idiots who are so pathetic that they cant bear if something else looks good on other person bike, i always liked to keep my bike proper stickered, with skull and some free hand designs on my tanks and all, but here people are so pathetic that if they stand next to my bike they will start piercing the key on the skull which is stickered on my fairing, if nt that they will simply sit on the seat, they will start removing the free hand stickering which covers my tank, now i have stopped doing this graphic stickering looking this monkeys scratching on my tank and headlight, worst case is if u put a beautiful graphical seat that aso they wont leave piercing with their keys. sometimes i feel to cut their hands off as its so easy for them to destroy but difficult to create some design or graphic on your own.

I will be happy if this idiot fellows gets whipped in public with their pants down

I think fireblah has done a wonderful job by not posting anything about that incident. I know he was online all though the day. Thanks Fireblah for being so patient.
Enough is enough. Lets say both of them had faults. We all love this thread. We do not want to see this thread full of off topic discussions. As Aryan sir has already said. No more discussion on that topic.
          Thank you very much.

            • Damn man!

I am very scared of parking anywhere (public)! I rush back every few minutes or pay 10 bucks to a paan-waala to keep a lookout for my R15! You should never leave a 'dhoom wali' bike in public!!

Anyways, what say, we have the coveted city-ride (plans were on before Aila hit us ) just to take mind off things? Say early morning, or late night?
              You get the point?? :D

I am up for an early morning ride any day... hate night rides as am not able to see oncoming cattle/dogs/cats/humans/vehicles properly. Lemme know when...

Blade being a heavy bike and as it does not come with a center stand as on most of indian bikes, its sometimes difficult to do things like cleaning/lubricating the chain.
So I thought of getting a paddock stand made in my own workshop.

Pipes used are of stainless steel and the wheels are aluminum.

Its still not complete but looks nice

                • can't tell the scale from the pics. what's the dia of the steel tubing?

it should be able to take blade's weight .. duh

also, try and build some kinda handle or grip for the tab. easy to slip when holding just a thin tab. also, some kinda rubber or similar buffer material where the stand touches the floor so you don't scratch your expensive tilework.

                  • Dia of the pipe all over is 1.25 inch. Yes, will put some grip.
This stand wont be used on any expensive tilework

                    • nice ... but don't you get those paddock stands outside as well ? or are those stands unable to take the blade's weight ? either way yours look good ... you could also think about custom painting it to match the blades colours ...
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

hehe, i figured that you only took it inside on the expensive tilework to take the photos, but still, having a rubber bush or something under it will also keep it from sliding around too much.

I have no idea where and if these stands are available in india.. The ones available outside India are very expensive.
                            Will put rubber wherever necessary..

The R15 accessory racing paddock stand is really good&already has rubber. I think you can check that out.
Mine is lying at home, if we were in the same city, I would have given it to you!

                              • ^ Yes, its a good stand but only for the R15! The difference in swingarm sizes and the gap in between the 'arms' on the R15 and the 'Blade is enormous!!!

@ Fireblah- How about Thursday or Friday morning? And you have a metal workshop? Wow, the possibilities are endless then.........!!!
