So all i can write about is what i have experienced.
Yestarday i was cruising through the city. was a nice day , as it was election day, so the roads were pretty much empty. Anyways, kolkata roads even if empty, cant be taken lightly as you dont know where you will find a pot hole or a ramp ready to launch you into the sky !
But inspite of all this, the blade is just so so so comfortable in the city.
I own a pulsar for the last 3 years. So i was a bit sceptic about how will the bike fair in city conditions, but lemme tell you guys, i have absolutely no problem with this "superbike". The only problem is heat. On a sunny day it becomes demanding, sun on top, 1000ccs of fire beneath !
The riding position needs time to be adjusted too, but after a while it becomes comfortable.
Now whenever i ride my pulsar, i keep feeling that something is wrong with it, and its not anything related to power !

My point is , people do not know this bike, and it deserves alot of praise and respect

Dudh, I don't agree to your quote above (marked in red)!!

This bike holds damn damn praise and respect from all the bikers who know about biking!! Count on this...

I envy you seeing your ride!! Congo buddy!!

Looks like WD 40 or some similar de-greaser. Correct me if I'm wrong fireblah!

@fireblah: the chain looks awfully dirty. Didnt you clean it before lubing it?

Small can is WD 40 ..... to remove the grease stains from the wheel. Its even handy in removing sticky mud marks from the frame.

According to the WD40 site , it has thousand uses ! But mainly i use for de-greasing. Its a mild lubricant as well, but no use on a moterbike anywhere.
The chain is cleaned using a solution from Motul. It has to be cleaned using a soft brush and a cloth. I did not clean it 100% so will have to give another session soon.

No idea why that strap is there. Got to hold on to the rider.

But in case there is one due to some circumstance, best is to do as the rider says and trust the rider. On a 19-hour long roadtrip, the pillion behind me could hold the strap for most of the time because I would warn him if I wanted to accelerate/overtake vehicles on highways. If it's a short trip intra city then instead of warnings, best is to hold for dear life till you reach the destination.
I read that in Cycle World magazine. We need to slide our fingers beneath the strap. The people there jokingly say that we cut the blood circulation to our fingers. But people hardly follow that. I was told by my friend to interlock my hands on the tank. I have to keep the hands in between the rider's stomach and tank. So that when he accelerates i will still be held back by his body.

                • @Fireblah:As far as R1 and Blade experience is concerned, i might want to share some of my views.
I have had a chance to experience the power of these two bikes. I have been on a 954,1000RR 04 and 06 R1. The first impression of the R1 is that it is flashier than Blade. It makes more visual and aural drama. The power delivery is definitely more violent than a Blade. I was scared! Very bad ass bike! But i didn't find it as smooth as Honda! [no offence to any R1 owner]
When we come to Honda the first impression is more civilized. It is like a well behaved martial artist. The acceleration is definitely not as scary as R1. But is is fast none the less.
Think of it in this way. R1 is like a martial artist from Japanese anime series. Spike hair, muscles showing from torn clothes and kick ass moves.
But Honda CBR is more like James Bond in Reid and Taylor.

so you mean,WD40 is used on alloys to remove the dirt and on the frame as well....won't it react with the paint and chip off the paint thing?

                          • Most people beleive that wd40 should not be used on chains since it siplaces water and hurts the o rings. i dont know how true that is.

if you want to clean the chain kerosene is the best.

Litrebikes arent meant to be sane. if you want a real power hit try jumping on an 04-05 zx10. or the first crop of the r1's .

AFAIK, it is absolutely true. In fact, most owner manuals have specifically mentioned NOT to use WD40 on the O-Rings. I doubt it will harm if used anywhere else.
