  • Blade got a desi paddock stand .... this is what it looks like ...

Still a bit of work needed. Also to get the bike on the stand, two people are needed as the bike needs to be standing straight.

I got the design from the following forum :
    www.fireblades.org
The dimensions matched the current fireblade...

Overall, its very useful for getting the chain lubed. Cant think of any other use
May the torque be with you..

          • @Fireblah: I sincerity believe these "short trips" on the 'Blade deserve a separate thread each! That would be doing real justice to both - the ride, and the machines.

@svj: ya sure... he was quite comfy on the pillion seat
Well done, I really appreciate you, accepting that man's request. Hats off! You really have my respect, man! Now, that's being a real biker!

and of course, Great Pics dude. Loved them all. Although, in post no. 799, less quality & blurring seems to be a problem, except for Pic#2... Anyways, Ride hard & safe and Good Luck...

Ken da, I am 5' 11" (some say 10" ). Couple of months back I had a 60-80km ride within city as pillion of the blade. I was holding Fireblah tightly with both my inner thighs as well as with both my hands .
The lower back starts to pain after 1/2 an hour of continuous riding as pillion. Otherwise it's absolutely fine.
FYI - I have never done exercise in my whole life. So, may be my lower back is not strong enough.

                • I think there is one more position. We need to hold down the strap on rear seat with one hand and other hand on rider's shoulder.

You'll fall on the road that way when the bike accelerates!

                    • There is a strap on the rear seat .... but if you hold on to that , as Aryan rightly said , you'll definitely fall, or fly like they show on the cartoons
No idea why that strap is there. Got to hold on to the rider.

yes got to hold around the waist of the rider or also pillion holds hands around the waist of the rider but with fingers locked and both palms pressed on the tank, near and on the tank pads. i havent tried it but my friend (108 kg) does this.when we go on my K9 BUSA, also the pillion needs to become part of the bike and trust the rider completely.
                          dreams come true..

                          • you have to sit neutral on a bike when riding pillon. hold on to the rider while accelerating and press the tank while braking so you dont slide into the rider.

                            • There shouldn't be a pillion in the first place.

But in case there is one due to some circumstance, best is to do as the rider says and trust the rider. On a 19-hour long roadtrip, the pillion behind me could hold the strap for most of the time because I would warn him if I wanted to accelerate/overtake vehicles on highways. If it's a short trip intra city then instead of warnings, best is to hold for dear life till you reach the destination.
