Hello. Except one instance the drags were done in an isolated smooth road in Rajarhat. Where there was absolutely no possibility of someone/animal coming in the road. This is not what you call street drag. Do you?
And another thing. I do not know about the 600cc rider, but Fireblah was wearing protection of international standards while doing the drags.

    • @MG: The drags were done in a perfectly sane manner and NOT on public roads. I dont see any issues there. Infact, that is how drags should generally be done.

As far as the street races go, that's a little different.

Dude, pls. i'm still talking about that so called "one instance" of a kind of drag that was held in the public roads. And btw. i never commented anything about riding gears!

You did not mention about that particular video. MG asked about the videos. Thanks for editing your earlier post. Now that makes it better.
Though Roads in Rajarhat are relatively empty, still I too strongly feel they should NOT have engaged in a race in public road. I have told this to Fireblah personally as well. He too said openly here that he will never engage in race in public road again.

@ all, I saw a video in youTube which is about a drag among a F16 a F1 car and a R1. The R1 wins easily. And it is very obvious. So, no point in arguing over this fact.
                So, PEACE.

Here is the link of the video.

@ respected MODS, If possible please see if we can Get back the wonderful pictures of the 600RR and 1000RR please during the drag.
                Thanks.

EDIT - Thanks a lot for restoring the posts.

Exactly. There are abandoned roads inside Hidco. project in rajarhat where most of the bikers/drivers do stunts and drags. Its perfectly safe, I have done that countless times there.

I guess the misunderstanding between Amittrajit and fireblah is caused by some common friends.

@amittrajit, I have tremendous respect for you. But street racing should not be done by a guy who won INRC 2007 in N category and finished 3rd in 2008 in N+. A SBK is faster than most of the cars, and most performance cars can carry better corner speeds.

                  • I see my post has been deleted. Well, I guess the mods had their reasons. I still object to this guys posts where he has claimed that I had challenged him for a drag or that I did'nt know about the capabilities of the 600 or that only after the drags that I claimed for a race. It was always going to be a race.
@Ani..I know my part for society and even asked them not to race after I saw their riding capabilities and knowledge during the drag. But I guess they were over confident or ignorant. Hence the resulting race. And dont you think that I already know about all the bike and car facts your telling me of? That is exacltly why I was shocked to read here of his claims of me challenging him for a drag. And still dont see when and where the Challenge part came from

A drag is a lot safer if you want to check the capabilities of your machine.
But a "race" or "street-racing" is somthing which should not be done. I know about your capabilites Sunny da, but everyone in this forum, including me, is against street racing, even if it is "friendly".
And about bike and car facts, you know more about them than i do..! So why would you race on the streets against a SBK if you know that you can carry better corner speeds than he does? You are a professional, but he is not..!! what about the risks involved?
                        Do you support street-racing?

If you wanted to check "difference between a car & a bike" then drags would have been enough. I prefer youtube though.

@Fireblah , you should edit some of your posts. Some of them are offensive.

i think only fireblah has a solution....
and i have heard he is buying a 2009 YZF-R1.
thats the only solution.bike versus bike. fair enough.
then this thread will only have comparisons, drags, analysis, friendly runs...
                          only mortals doing biking...

                            • @Wizv...its not about ignorance bro..i kept on saying things like "bhaiya bike traffice mein ap zyada zor nahi chala sakhiye ga" or that its unsafe but they just got too cocky and kept on insisting saying things like "bike toh aram se jeet jai gi" n stuff. I never wanted to race but things at one point got to a situation when it was being questioned that the bike would be a hands down winner and hence my decision to not race. now we are all responsible men around here but when your called out like that and its your word thats being challenged..most of us tend to become boys then
@Ani...I not even for once wanted to see any difference or anything else between the car and the bike..hence the question of me checking it out over a drag does not exist...I am friends with some of the best riders that india has had including my team mates at red rooster racing, preetham, rajni and rohit..as a matter of fact...we race on the same track every round of jk racing like yesterday...they in the 600cc category and me in the formula rolon...so i was in no way in need of checking anything out..i already knew...people standing there will tell you, i even predicted how many car lengths the bike would pull up in the drag...it was just simple riding/driving around on sundays like we mostly do..but never did i know it would turn out like this on a forum...

                              • Thanks Aryan...it is not my intention to insult anyone but to give out the real picture..i for one think there is nothing to boast of, if a guy on a superbike beats a road car in a drag...or a guy on a road car beats a guy on a superbike in a race...its just no point as there is no comparison...i seriously dont know why this guy had to make up such a story.
