      • I still maintain that the Hayabusa and ZX14R Ninja are the best motorcycles out there if you like to tour, pose and hit the track occasionally. These are the LEAST "single-minded" bikes out there. When you get on the saddle you TRULY feel like you've got your money's worth...even in Indian pricing!!

I've owned a Busa and flogged it over several thousand miles and it will always be the best motorcycle I have ever owned.

          Despite that behemoth called MT!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

The MT was purchased for practical reasons in India. If I could - I'd much rather have the Busa or 14R. To me they represent the pinnacle of motorcycle design from both performance and usability points of view.

When it comes to stress free motoring - nothing beats these two.

A Goldwing cannot go around a track with respectable results...and a Ducati 1198 cannot do Mumbai - Chennai and back on a regular basis. Every other bike falls into either category save for these two.The FZ1 and VFR are just too slow.

            On a Busa/14R I can do 100kph economy run when I want to...and I can do 200kph cruising if I want to...and when I get horny - I can even do 300kph on a whim.

I had got your point the first time around. I was just wondering where the MT fits in. I think that is where the hooligan streak in your character surfaces. And I totally agree with what you have to say about the 14 and the Busa.

Ps: I like the horny bit!

                              • It was on a very pleasant sunday noon that we got a call from Doktor. He invited the Pune XBHPians for a meet up. Only NV,shadowfax and me were able to show up for the meet. All the others were either out of Pune or busy in other work.
Finally showed up at his place. We got a pleasant shock by Doktor's behaviour! He is an impossibly cool and down to earth guy! Definitely not like other superbike owners i have met. He is one of the select few riders who does not discriminate about other peoples' bikes!
The Busa was standing in his parking bay and boy was it big?! It is huge! Big machine with wide fairing resting on two fat wheels! Two triangular exhausts sticking out from both sides.Shining black paint. The world famous legend was there in front of us to behold. A wonderful piece of engineering.
We talked for quite a some time. Many of Doktor's friends from COPS[Club Of Pune Superbikers] were present.Doktor owned a CBR 600RR before this. Many questions were fired and we got answers happily. We shared various stories with him.Had a very nice interaction with all other guys. He showed us all the starting and mode changing effects! The bike settled in a muted hum. The change of hum into a bassy note as he blipped the throttle was amazing! Whummm... He also did a small pass by in the parking area. He also invited us to his home to show the bike delivery video! What a biker! RESPECT and salute!!

The light was low so we could not take much photos. All photos clicked by Shadowfax. But this was a small meeting. We might do some more photo shoots in coming days.
