well i have been wanting to buy a sbk for a few months but a 2nd hand one but due to the DRI guys cant buy it n i dont have enough moolah for the official R1, if the DRI guys will give so much probs then wat r u plannin to do with da bike ?Originally posted by JOSH5898 View Post@bikemaniac... the place i live is far down south and the DRI problem is not there as of now.. but even if i wanted to settle with the DRI guys i would have to pay another 4-5 L to keep the bike.

well... there sure is going to be a problem from them sooner or later here too... as of now am considering a fireblade or a R1 which is sold in INDIA officially but am not able to make up my mind. I also read on the net that suzuki is getting ready to bring their Gixxer range to India soon.. if that happens then am going to go for a Gixxer 1000 official. As fot the one i have now .. i guess will ride & enjoy it to the fullest till the DRI guys pop my bubble.Originally posted by bikemanic View Postwell i have been wanting to buy a sbk for a few months but a 2nd hand one but due to the DRI guys cant buy it n i dont have enough moolah for the official R1, if the DRI guys will give so much probs then wat r u plannin to do with da bike ?

Congrats Josh5898!
The Gixxer looks nice. What fuel are you running her on? Sorry if this has already been answered earlier!
The reason I ask is, I pass Coimbatore on the way to my hometown near Palghat, and if there's 97 octane available in Coimbatore, I don't mind making a detour for a tank up.

the papers are on the first owner's name.. am the second owner. The place i live is a small town and the cops here do not catch big bikes... infact they concentrate more on mopeds and scooters.. even R15s are considered bigggggg hereOriginally posted by bikemanic View Posti guess that would be better to buy an official one, but wat happens when some regular cop catches u n wanna check papers wont he ask qustions ???? r the papers on ur name or the previous owner ?
so that tension is not there as of now.
