Yeah...MMSC kinda does that to you doesn't it? Shame we don't have a track in this neck of the woods. On Sundays you just pay Rs.400 per bike to use the track. Worth every penny! Just need to take the bike, car with gear/helmet and an icebox full of life-saving fluids and you are sorted!

If it werent for Rossiters help in Banglore my bike would have never been in the right shape for the abuse that it was put to at the track. Just wanna throw out a public thank you to rossiter for all the help and the home delivery of the CBR1000RR that day when I was really pressed for time and my arm was throbbing with pain and had to leave for chennai that very same evening. Thanks for taking the efforts, especially on a monday afternoon, mate! A kingly treatment awaits you if you ever step into Pune or its vicinity anytime in future

Yep...that is Akhil for you. Interestingly it was his first trackday at MMSC when I helped him out so that karma has passed to you now. Make sure you help someone out for their trackday to pass it on the karma again!

So? waiting to hear about the experience, your laps, any scary moments etc. How did the bike perform? Any angry emails going out to Honda?

Most important question:

Did you spot any wildlife on the track? Pigs/Snakes?

dude..if we had a track anywhere in a 200 kms radius I would be seen there atleast once every week. We need a track here man...someone pls do something and make a fcuking track near bombay/pune. These two cities will start exporting racers to MSS and shit like crazy.

I have a lot to write about this years track experience. But I will try and come up with all that in a single post. Wanna think it through
Apart from a few riders riding on the track like they were some wild animals themselves I did spot snakes about 4 times...a dog was running straight into me at C1...3 pigs set for shopping and had to cross my way at C2 just when I was about to enter it.

Will post pics, videos and everything all in due course of time.

C2 is a well known pig crossing. We call them "space invaders" and I have one such incident on Video during an MRF tire testing session.

Yeah we need a track here pronto somewhere in between Mumbai Pune off the expressway. Either that or they should raze all the buildings in Lavassa and turn it into a hill-side track like Nurburgring or something.

We need to start boycotting Cricket because it is sapping all the funds in the country from government funds, private funds and MNC funds!

I so badly wanted to come to Chennai at least to see you all on track but work's been hectic. Was Keith Code at CSS, Chennai this time?

I'm definitely enrolling for the next CSS program. Hope its scheduled in Nov/dec so its a bit cooler.

Do share the experiences and learnings for us noob's. Would love to get a feel of what one can learn. I read about how it can jolt you right out of your head and make you feel "damn, i sucked at riding all these years".

P.S. Rohan, you were supposed to be in Blore. How come you went back to Pune all of a sudden? Was expecting you here man. Get over here, pronto. The pub's are waiting for you.

Yeah that's me alright. Looking at the pic though I can already spot a few body position errors.

Btw, which day which turn is it ? Its a left hander and its either C3, C9 or C10. (that's where there might be trees in the background.)

Edit: Although from the size of the small pencil/guage below my left footpeg..it would be the first or second day.

No, I wanted a Valentino face (AGV) hence got it from Bachoo Motors.

However, all the rest of my stuff is pretty much from PRS including the suit in the pic, the gloves, boots, exhaust, fender eliminator etc etc etc etc

Btw C10 was quite a corner, wasn't it?

It was only on the third day (3rd day of CSS, 4th day on track) that I found something bearing a little semblance to an apex.

It was one of the corners which i hated the most initially along with that dastardly C2. But on the second day i was having good fun on it scraping my knee at will.

THe instructor (i presume it was Andy) commented that he was having a tough time behind me with all the sparks flying on his face when he was folllowing me on C10.

C2 never was a problem to me. But C10 and 11 still are. Grinding the footpegs was sick jakrap lol...gotta admire your spirit after the crash. You were even better the next day !!
Not only are they the slowest of all, the inside line into C11 is bumpy and slippery. Dylan asked me to take a wider line for he almost lost his front there doing the flip flop :s
