depends on how much you muscle the bike around.
Somewhere between 12 and 15 kms per litre would be my guess.

With that many people in pune, you should keep organising private track days! Just need to find a good way to transport the bikes down. A modified or custom made rack on a truck should transport them pretty well! Add a mechanic to give you support at the track and you are set!

Thats exactly what we are working on right now. The custom made rack will be put to test the first time this Jan when we all head down south towards chennai for CSS

Put a couple of pictures up and I will let you know how it will go. As long as it has a solid foundation into the base you will be good. Just secure it with some tie downs as well. the rachet ones work best to get it secure. A 90 degree aluminuim chock also works well to secure the front wheel.

something like this will work best

            Google Image Result for http://motobikes.com.au/images/WheelChockTYREbeltCombo.jpg

What are you thinking of transporting it down in ??

Jakrap I will be with you attending Jan 25th and 26th
I will be attending 28th,29th and 30th too.
Basically I would be attending all the days. If they were to be in India for 30 days I would be attending all 30 days even if that meant me having no money left to feed myself after CSS :P

Great. I will get back to you on this.

btw motorcycle usa has come up with a long term ownership experience for the 2010 Fireblade. The follwing is an excerpt

We’ve always been hard pressed to find any faults with the CBR. Honda’s Superbike does everything so well that its superb performance can, at times, be confused for lack of character. From the handling and chassis balance to the power delivery and throttle response, the whole package is so incredibly dialed that it makes riding maneuvers, from wheelies and stoppies to carving corners so effortless that you actually take it for granted… that is until you hop on another competitor’s liter-bike

The 2010 Honda CBR1000RR has the strongest midrange performance of all the four-cylinders even against the mighty BMW.

              Me = happy

not in laptimes. nor in midrange power.
S1kRR decimates the CBR with loads of high quality gizmos.
Handling wise both are at par.

I am newly in love the the CBR again...especially cause its gonna don a full carbon fibre fairing in a few days

                  • hey tenhut, I am thinking of installing an aftermarket exhaust... my requirement is basically the audio effects... not in loudness, but in that awesome superbike kinda sound.. you know what i mean ... so which one would you recommend ?
                    thanks
May the torque be with you..

For our CBR finding a good looking exhaust is an uphill task as our exhausts are shorty exhausts.
The best looking exhaust which gels with the design principles of this particular CBR(post 08 CBR) and goes well with the bikes looks in its entirety is
                      Taylormade Exhaust.
                      It isnt annoyingly loud either.
If you are in pursuit of superior finish, ultimate quality and the most civilised inline4 cylinder sound it always has to be a Yoshimura (R-77 Carbon Fibre for our bike) but that exhaust isnt gonna gel in well with the way the bike looks due to its roundish shape(thats just me)

If you like loud GP sound and want your titanium pipe to turn blue and red and spit flames when heated up, you know which one to get

Btw, no exhaust is gonna give you breathtaking power gains. Dont expect huge/insane stuff. If you want power gains you will have to plonk in a Power Commander to go with the exhaust.

                      Taylormade =
http://www.GlassHouseRacing.com This is a sound test of a 2008-2010 Honda CBR1000RR with a Taylormade exhaust Slip-On on the bike. Our website is still under...

Yoshimura Carbon Fibre R77 (full system NOT a slip on)
