  • Really nice mod Doc. So very different than anything i've seen before.

Could you please tell us about the changes in the way the bike's been handling. Is the difference very perceptible?

I'm sure you must be wanting to jump across all those cars in the Mumbai traffic!!

The whole set up is plug and play on any RX including alloys.

Im not a big fan of the pulsar or the pulsar disc setup on a RX so cant comment on that.
thanks a lot dude....for the info ...i do have the pulsar disc completete set up ...so i will stick to it...the setup cost me around 4k which included forks disc plate caliper the front axle ...so another 3700 more for a alloy wheel...

            • Hi Doc,

i have seen many Rx rear shocks angle modified for better damping response.

can you tell me what would be the optimal rear shock mount angle and avilable indian shocks for Rx rear. i like to give a try.

              Thanks

Thanks Rookie! The handling hasnt changed much. The wheelbase is the same. Only the turning radius is reduced a bit coz the forks were touching the tank, i had to put bigger stoppers to the t-stem.

Well there isnt an exact angle but many of those RXs ive seen have the mounts at a point where the side panels end. But remember, you'll have to stiffen the shocks.

Yes pics will come soon. They are still in Aruns SLR so he has to sort and edit them. It was only a dirt track so no jumps. I hope the pics and vids come out good.

Btw, check out the fork brace.

Yes the event was real fun! Lots of nice cars too. Most riders and drivers are regular participants and professionals.

I took part in the cars class for the first time too. placed 7th out of 17 drivers with 8sec difference between me and the 1st.
In twostroke bikes class i came 8th out of 18 riders. Wish i could have had some time and place for some practice. Last time i rode on dirt was in last race last year.

You'll see Arun in the next few pics. Im waiting for him to sort them out Sri. I have posted some on Facebook if you wanna checkout.
Abt the disc, good question! I have always known this fact but never really bothered to know why the were on the left. What i have collected is it is to counter balance the rear disc/drums action which is on the right. Dunno how true this really is.

Suspensions on the front of dirt bikes have a lot of travel. If the rotors are present on the right, the brake hose is surely going to get pinched.

To avoid that, all of them have front brakes on the left.
