Nitish:- That was treat to the eyes. Btw, did your bike come with catcon? Buttefly crash guard looks good. I always felts that handle bar and rear grab rail came with the bike were more heavy and chrome was of better quality. I found the difference last year while doing some cosmetic changes. Let me know from your end.

OT:- did you take these pics on your mobile camera? Or guess need more steady hands!

Sure. As of now awaiting parts from paint shop. Scheduled to be delivered this Friday. Lets see. Once the parts come, plan to finish this weekend. Saturday-Engine re-build, Sunday-Entire bike assembly, testing, tweaking and delivery. Hoping schedule will be on track.

It is a new crank Jai. Bought from the dealer in 2010. You see anything fishy?

Yes, butterfly crashguards are available. But honestly, design is not that good. Its too small. I think this one is off Crux's.

Yup. It came with catcon. Goig with the same cofing. Heard a lot about its back pressure and the good things that it would do to low end torque and mileage

Hey Shoaib, in reply to your PM query reg spokes, the ones I used on my 100 were also of HH. I saw Yamaha OE spokes. They are thinner and duller. My dealer tells me HH spokes are the popular option. Sorry for coming back so late on this.

Yes, chrome quality on OE parts are plain lousy. If not for the dealer, nobody will belive it to be genuine stuff.

OT: Pics taken from Samsung P&S cam. Not sure why the images are blurred. Maybe due to the mild hypertension I have, there is a mild hand tremor Guess I am on the wrong side of 20s

Haven't rested in the past 5-6 weekends. I am just waiting for this one to finish. Worried about lack of scientific approach. No piston ring compressor, torque wrench, flywheel holder, etc. Thinking of getting the engine done by someone who has all these stuff. But that would be another coordination nightmare and the resentment I would have to deal with the current technician! Phew! Fold hands and pray

As planned, I had gone to my technician with all the spares I had on 9/25, i.e. this Sunday. The target was to finish engine assembly (both top end and bottom end) by afternoon. But then when we sat down to install crankshaft did we realise we are short of one bearing My supplier had told me he has given me all six and I also didn't bother to check

So work was halted on Sunday. Monday my technician sourced the bearing but he was busy with other vehicles (runs a one man show). Finally today the engine was assembled, except the clutch since the clutch dog I bought was the one of RX100

We are now looking at 9/30 as the new finish date. But have told him clearly, that I don't mind delays at all but want the job to be done neatly.

Now that I know how to upload pics:-

Cool pics! That bore kit might be one of the last surviving new kits left. Is the clutch bell new too?

Nope. Clutch bell has been 'worked upon'. Somehow my technician was very reluctant to use a new one. He thought buying a new clutch bell with matching primary gear is a pain.

Yes finding a genuine clutch bell with matching primary is very difficult.

Film ending alli director hesru haakteeni Sourcing is not an issue, but sourcing matching components 9from same production batch) is an issue. Anyways, he was confident that the existing bell is good enuf.

Yup. Infact, he said clutch bell and primary from different production batches will cause some 'humming' sound. Let me see, I've taken a chance here. Hope things go according to plan. Didn't want to loose 4k and have a badly performing engine. If I have to take a chance will do so by NOT burning 4k
