Clutch issue was sorted out by a local mech. Had to remove the clutch cover and tighten/adjust the nut at the clutch rod end. Though he did say that, clutch rod is a local one and should the issue re-surface, replacing it with OE rod is the only solution. Will hunt for it leisurely. Hard gear shifts corrected itself the day after my rant here Maybe the fixed clutch took care of it.

This would be my daily ride, starting from next week. Will make regular updates to the thread then.

For now though, bike needs KA plates and this would be done two weeks from now.

Finally, I got time this weekend to give some beauty treatment. While taking delivery I had clearly instructed not to wash the bike. This morning, I gave it a wet wipe using ONR. Then followed up with Collinite 845. Clicked few pics, hope you enjoy looking at them.

Imperfect mating of ignition lock and the RH pilot lamp housing/assy. Mirror threads are covered by a rubber bit. Presumably to prevent rusting?

VERY VERY clean rebuild... This is really a treat to watch.

Just make sure that u apply a clear coat. That will ensure your stickers stay in place for years and the paint will also last much much longer.

But really such a nice outcome .... shows the true love of a biker towards his possession.

@NitinGirish - The bike looks awesome. You should be doing circles with 'For Regn' on the plates to tease others in your city..

Today I did my first office commute on this bike. Major observation is, I just cannot slot it to neutral when the engine is running. When the engine is off, slotting to neutral is easy.

Apart from that, gear shifts are very notchy. It was smooth for first 6-7 kms but later it took me lot of effort for downshifting, especially from 2nd to 1st. Any pointers what could be the issue? I am intrigued coz, 1st 6-7kms of the commute it was fine

Didn't exceed 40kmph/1/4 throttle. Seems like this one has better ride quality than the 100. Doesn't bounce around.

I hope the oil used in the gearbox is brand new. So would think of clutch adjustment for the proper gear shifts. We shall take this forward once the clutch is set per requirement.

Also, while running if the neutral did not engage while up-shifting is normal.

Yamalube gearbox oil has been used. Brand new. But I only have my technician's word for it. Planning to get the oil changed again, latest by this weekend.

Yup, up shifting is no problem at all. Only neutral slotting (while engine is on) and 2nd to 1st is a headache.
