    Hi,

I am new to this thread, i planning to restore my RX 100. i want to know the following details.

    1. Is there a mikuni carburetor for RX 100?
    2. Local mechanics say there are imported clutch for 7000 (in chennai) which can increase the performance ?
    3. what is the use of quick throttle? and it is really worth it
    4. Is there something called brass core (muffler) for silencer
    5. Brass bend pipe for exhaust (custom made in lathe) will produce good amount of beat (sound)?

Is there any other modifications you can suggestions for getting RX100 for race ready?

      1. Is there a mikuni carburetor for RX 100? - mikuni Japan carbs are no longer available for purchase from showroom. Used might be found if searched
      2. Local mechanics say there are imported clutch for 7000 (in chennai) which can increase the performance ? - Stay away from such sugar coated words. Normal clutch plates shall do the needful.
      3. what is the use of quick throttle? and it is really worth it - quick throttle cable will devoid the use of autolube since the cable won't be there for oil pump. I would say its fancy, not needed.
      4. Is there something called brass core (muffler) for silencer -Never heard
      5. Brass bend pipe for exhaust (custom made in lathe) will produce good amount of beat (sound)? - again manipulated talks, stay away.

Is there any other modifications you can suggestions for getting RX100 for race ready? - you want race where? Usually port job is done to make bike peppy but that actually kills the engine sooner than normal abuse.

      Thanks!

                Update:-

Got up early by sacrificing sleep. Have a small list of parts to be purchased. The first among them was the rubber for the bike. What tyre? what brand? What pattern? What's the price? With too many questions headed out in a metro project chaos hit roads towards the Tyre market area, Whites Road.
After visiting few shops, finally got into a store to see all the brands under one roof. That's where I got lost which one to buy among. I had Ceat Gripp, MRF Moto-D, Nylogrip, Continental, Michelin Sirac Street and M45. It was not easy to settle down to buy quickly. With so many brands and models even more it became tough. Since I've already running RX135 on Michelin in the rear and I felt it is quite good. However, M45 is also a good one but finally heart won for Sirac Street. So decided to give RX100 a Michelin Sirac Street for both front and rear.It is a combination of hard and semi hard component.

                Hi Bro,
I am going for the same setup...in my RX 100... 2.75x18 front tyre and 3x18 rear tyre...Can you please update your experience with these tyres especially in regard to wet road/tarmac grip? My old MRF tyres have lasted me for more than 9 years now...

                Thanks & Regards...
                Sai
