Lack of trusted mechanics in and around my residance is taking its toll. The regular mech who looks after my RX had let me down, only god knows whats going through his mind.

The initial agreement was to get the bike disassembled and me taking the parts for rework and then get the assembly done when everything is in place. But now, he wants me to leave the bike at his garage and come back after bike is ready, so I ditched him. Back to square one now

Meanwhile, bought new fuel tank, chain case, OE seat, handlebar, chain sprocket set, reed valve, engine bearings etc last weekend. I feel that 60-70% of the spares have been procured, next step should be to remove the frame for bend check and painting. Should somehow find a way to get the build moving..

How much did it cost for a new fuel tank and side shields ? My tank had a few holes just below the yamaha logo on the tank.. my mechanic has temporarily closed it using M-seal. It looks very odd, like a white patch on the tank.

                      Suggestions for increasing performance

                      Go for following parts:

                      1. NGK Iridium Spark Plug (approx 400 rs): Better Combustion, better mileage, longer life and no cons.
                      2. Halogen Blub( 60-70 rs) : Better focus, brighter light and no cons
                      Yamaha Rx135 4 speed

It's a waste of money using Iridium plugs. Stock plugs can do the job. If you really talking about the performance then it should be in the engine rebuild to spec and not mere Iridium plug.

To take Halogen Bulb one should change the reflector to accommodate H4 type bulb and their holder type also needs to be changed to P43T.

                                Few questions from my side:
                                1. Why are you using an RX100 Petrol Tank? or yours is the latest 4-speed Gen model?
                                2. Does your connecting rod have "2YA" written? For a change why dont you go for the "4Y2" rod?
                                Cheers
