My friend also owns an RX135 2004 4S, which he plans to restore. I had created a thread in Help Me section for him to identify good workshops in Chennai, which didn't get much fruitful responses as I expected.
Thanks SatSon. I'd not recommend searching for local workshops through forums (atleast for restorations). A mechanic who does the job well for one person might not work the same way for another. Depends on various factors like how well you know the mechanic, how close is the workshop to your residence, your expectation out of the restoration etc. Instead of blindly giving your bike to a mechanic referred by someone else, go out to different workshops, talk to mechanics and pick the one who's ready to work the way you want.

Congrats on your new bike. Enjoy owning it.

Where did you get the reboring done? (Chennai)

I have almost finished getting all the parts.
So all left is to find a mechanic to do the strip.
Find a painter and chrome shop.

Between what tyre size did you get.
I have bought 3x18 and 2.75x18 Ceat. Is that ok ?

I bet Sriram was of great help. He did the same for me.
Thanks Visaster and all the best for your build.

I will PM you the contact for rebore job. Tires are 2.75*18 and 2.50*18 CEAT. They offer decent grip and are ideal for city rides, the bike feels lighter with these sizes when compared to 3*18 and 2.75*18

Still waiting for that contact. Thanks in Advance.
Rain has given me more reasons to be lazy with the build.

I need the actual tank of Yamaha Rx 135, did you come across any availability anywhere during your part purchase?
What is available is RX100ish and I don't want it.
