Re: Project RX 135 Factory Rollout
Hey rxdude,
I am highly impressed with what you have done.
I relate myself to you very much.
I got a hopeless RXZ, have to get the bike RC renewed.
The bike needs a complete restore. Engine and cosmetics.
I got cheated by one mechanic as I do not know much about bikes.
But I want to get my bike to stock and soon i have to start the parts search.

Re: Project RX 135 Factory Rollout
Thank you for the appreciation, all these didnt happen over a weekend, it took more than 6 months right from collecting the parts to rebuilding the whole thingOriginally posted by RajeshC View PostHey rxdude,

if you want to restore the bike to good condition, it will take time since parts may not be available off the shelf. if its for the renewal of RC book you concentrate on the cosmetics and electrical first , make sure all the lights, horn etc are working. because all these dont take much time provided you wont have to replace the body parts. you can disassemble the engine later once you get the RC book renewedOriginally posted by RajeshC View Post

though i like the RXZ, the cosmetic part was the reason i opted for the 135
Get the parts catalogue and do your homework, at least get well versed with the parts name so that people may not cheat you, spend some decent time in this forum, thats all you needOriginally posted by RajeshC View PostI do not know much about bikes.
start the search today itself, dont waste time because getting parts is not that easy. Good luck with your restoration.Originally posted by RajeshC View PostBut I want to get my bike to stock and soon i have to start the parts search.

Re: Project RX 135 Factory Rollout
My RX 135s sound just became vey loud, just one day. What could be the reason??Does water or oil could lead to an increased sound??
I rode it in heavy rain a few weeks before, but this loudness increased the last day. I removed the core and checked, its alright, no rust or anything
Buy I can see a little pool of slushy thing at the bottom end of silencer.

Re: Project RX 135 Factory Rollout
Check the exhaust port joint or the muffler bend pipe joint for any leaks. If intact, don't bother much. Enjoy your new horn to scare them all.

Re: Project RX 135 Factory Rollout
Hi Sri, problem solved. Actually it was so stupid of me not to check the basics.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostEnjoy your new horn to scare them all.
Yesterday also I rode the bike but due to the loud noise I changed the core to the original one. Still when I coast the bike was jerking with each power stroke and at the same time when I twist the throttle its like the bike has attained more power.
When I slowed the bike stalls as if the slow speed decreased. So i even adjusted the idle screw. There was a little dripping from the silencer too.
So when the bike stalled and stopped, I tried to kick start it but no use.
Then I thought of pulling the choke, and found that some moron had pulled the CHOKE ON and I was riding all these time with choke on. So stupid of me for not checking this. The bike starts with out the choke so I never cared for the choke.
I am happy that its solved now.

Re: Project RX 135 Factory Rollout
Suggest, use the choke once in two to three days even if not required. This shall keep the choke plunger mechanism smooth/free from any residue on it and operation hastle free. At times you may feel that the choke is in closed state but actually the plunger remains partially open.Originally posted by rxdude View PostThe bike starts with out the choke so I never cared for the choke.
Keep firing !! :-)Stop at RED and go at GREEN !!!
