  • All the best Nishant. Be gentle on the throttle. Give some break during the long runs. Engine oil turning colors is normal, that is not all says you need to change it. Chemicals components do tend to go dark due to heat. Have an interval of 2000kms for oil change if ran sanely. Always to try to park the vehicle in centre stand when possible.

Sree, Whats the benefit in keeping so ??

Well continuing with my ownership experience.....
The bike has finished its running in period. Total kilometers on odometer is 1345 KMS.
Another nagging problem with the bike was the kicker gear used to come off the shaft. the clutch cover was opened twice for this alone and still it couldn't be rectified. All those time i gave the bike to mechanic and he did the work. The problem occurred due to loose circlip. The last day too the kicker gear came off. This time everything was done under my supervision and a smaller circlip was placed and till now the the kicker is fine.

The gear shifts are better now, but at times a when i am in 3rd gear i cannot shift down to 2nd. Its like the pedal moves down with no click or resistance, so i have to shift upto 4th then come back to 3rd and then 2nd. Its annoying although it rarely happens!

The bike has undergone 2nd oil change. First at 500 KM and second at 1000 KMS. Now running on Yamalube.
2T oil used is Mak and the quantity of oil is reduced as per Yamaha's specification to 30 ml per litre. As soon as the Mak is finished planning to switch to Yamalube.

The headlight is really hopeless, its better not to talk about it. changed the ordinary bulb. Now i am using Osram 35W halogen. still the headlight beam is not up to the mark.. Need to do something about this!!

Last day gave the bike a water wash and polished with 3M liquid polish ( Will post the Pictures after polish) My collinite wax will arrive soon!!

Minor issues like these are there. Nonetheless i am really happy with this bike.

        • ^ I have seen bike's side stand caved in making the RXZ 5 speed falling on the ground and breaking my heart. Few times had almost got my bike loosing the pivot position on the ground while I had the side stand out. Also if there any leaks, will roll down via side stand and we will not realize early.

          • @rxdude i read somewhere in this thread that price are not fixed they vary, but then too, for estimate and benefit of all bikers, can you provide a price list of parts you purchased?

I am more than happy to list the price of all the parts I bought. I was really planning to do the same.
I have almost all the bills. Only problem is I don't log in from a PC nowadays. I surely will post it at the latest.

Thank you vijaymeyou. You always put pictures or diagrams which is very helpful and I know how difficult its to do all those. I really appreciate this.
The culprit was the blue circlip. I replaced it with the correct size and the problem is solved. Till now everything is fine.
The gear problem is still there. If I up shift to third from second I can't go back to second again. It's like i reached first, not possible to shift down. I have to lightly press the lever with heel and then everything is fine and I can shift to second. Now I am adjusted with it.

                    Hi rxdude,

                    Thankyou for your appreciation...

its not too difficult to do this... all you need is to open the spare parts catlouge pdf file, and scroll down to the required page, press printscreen button from keyboard, and open mspaint, paste it , and crop the required area, and text your comments, arrows and save it as jpeg image file, and upload it as imgae.

Regarding gear shit issue i think you need to open your clucth case cover once again try adjusting the gear shift shaft clearence once again and check at all gears positions.

In general this solution worked for solving hard gear shift issue or unable to shift gear at standstill position with engine on......

You can try rotating(reposition) the pressure plate and check, next reposition the clutch boss and check. while doing this no need to drain the engine oil just collect the engine oil at tray below the clutch case cover.Do one step at a time... if you have some one to help then refix the clutch case with same old gasket and put few screws diagonally ask them to hold the clutch case against crank case... start engine shift gear and check and switch off ignition immediately. once problem solved drain the remaining engine oil and refix with new gasket and refill with the proper quantity of engine oil.

its not too difficult to do this...
Hi vijay, I know how to do it, but I just wanted to appreciate your effort. It takes 7 to 8 steps to do this and in no way it's an easy job and this makes what you do highly appreciable.
When I get time I will take it to mechanic and try to sort it out a you mentioned.
I am planning to do many things myself, starting from small DIY jobs like air filter cleaning.
I have also started buying needed tools like spanners and screwdrivers.
Last day cleaned the air filter myself.
