Re: KB100 RTZ - 18 yr old - Restore
you will probably have better luck finding rabbits with horns and hens with teeth than finding the workshop manual for the shogun , your next best bet will be the worshop manual for thae samurai ie if such a thing exists , if you google carefully you will come across a site with the parts catalogue for the ax100 (the suzy version , not the tvs mAX version) so far its the closest Ive come across something related to it, and as before if youcome across any problems or issues wrt to the build ,feel free to contact me , ill be more than happy to confuse you even more.Originally posted by KB100RTZ View Post

Just follow the link...you may have to sign up for the download.....Originally posted by KB100RTZ View PostHello Friends
After restoring my KB100 RTZ, now I am preparing to restore the BOSS.
Thanks to psr, I could get the complete workshop manual for the KB100, and it really helped me, since I did all work (except paint) on my own.
But am unable to find the workshop manual for the Suzuki Shogun anywhere.
Can anyone help ?
Btw - have already procured the BOSS, its about 16 yrs old and in okayish condition. Will start a new thread when I start work.
Regards

Re: KB100 RTZ - 18 yr old - Restore
Hi Fellow members,
I am Ravishankar from Chennai. I am a silent follower of the XBHP forum from 2013.
I Recently acquired a pre worshipped KB100 RTZ 1989 Model. The bike is in its stock condition and in perfect running condition. Now I am planning to get the engine overhauling with mild porting to get the best out of it.
The bore noise is audible. But the compression is good. the previous owner said engine is not yet opened. and the bike clocked 55000Kms and the speedo and fuel gauge are working perfectly. The tacho is also in perfect condition. but as usual Tacho cable is gone.
I have an Old timer mechanic who is actually very famous in RD Circle. when i took my Kawasaki KB100, he was surprised to see the bike in such a stock condition after 27 years. Except the tailpiece which was a sheet metal fabrication, Everything is stock, including the footrest rubber, Hand grips mud flaps,Air filter, The X-stroke sticker in the front fork leg, lever rubber cover..etc. Basically all stock
.
HE was asking if i am willing to sell it.
Now coming to the point , I need the tail piece, RPM cable, right side shield, manifold rubber and the engine packing kit. Can any of you veterans guide where i can source the non existing parts?
Again for your information, I am from Chennai(Madras).
Please guide me.

Re: KB100 RTZ - 18 yr old - Restore
GP road won't be of much use now. Pudhupet will most definitely have some parts but make sure how the parts have aged. When I had my KB four years ago, I used to get most spares at Alagendran Automobiles, Madurai. Trying calling them up and confirm what they can source for you.Tour De Thekkady

Re: KB100 RTZ - 18 yr old - Restore
I wanted to a few thigns from them, and then changed my mind when I saw that the shipping was per part rather than for the entire shipment. One part costs 35 rs say for eg, and the shipping woudl be 100 added to it. If you buy another part, again shipping added as extraOriginally posted by kb100 View Postdeal with them at your risk , if you still want to buy stuff from them buy one at a time foll the link for details :http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/thumpers...ml#post1132468

. THe best thing is that there is no Cash on delivery, and it says that the pictures are only for representational purpose. So there is a very big risk involved dealing with this site.
