Re: Yezdi
Wouldn't be nice if Yezdi was relaunched. Not the old Yezdi but a retro styled modern bike. The design should be instantly recognizable as a Yezdi / Jawa. I'm thinking of buying a cheap bike like a Pulsar classic of UG-1, stripping off the entire bodywork and fabricating a tank, side panels an other bits and pieces to resemble a Roadking or a 350 Twin. What do you think?

Road kings are available for the said price, only thing is one has to look in remote places, Taxes might be pending, paper might not be in complete order(but fixable)

Re: Yezdi
Hi guys,
I have a 1977 Yezdi D 250 Classic. It had been lying around since abt 3 yrs. I decided to restore it and got the bike in running condition. The aesthetics are not great but the engine and mechanics are doing well. The only issue I have is the carb. It had the original Jikov carb but when I showed it to the mech, he said that it's jets had jammed and will not be able to use it any more. He provided me with a used Mikuni carb which is for the Bullet.
I need help for a good, trustworthy mech who can guide me for restoring the bike in Mumbai. It would also be very helpful if anyone knows where I can buy a Jikov carb or the replacement Pacco carb from here in Mumbai.

Where in Mumbai are you from? There is my regular mechanic Mr. Vincy who has handled my Jawa for more than 40 years. I have also heard of some guy in dahisar east who does work on Jawa/Yezdi bikes. You can source the Jikov carburettor from this place in Sion near Koliwada. I can try to guide you, it is Singh auto or something like that. PM me for further assistance...
Hope this helps...
