    Yamalube

If ur commuting is through highways with constant high speeds than yamalube worth every cent of it.....

But if ur commuting is locally and very less occasionally on highways (high speeds) then try other one.I will try shell which is now available here, else tried Kinetic 2t (manufactured by Shell India) nd results are good as par concerned to smoothness nd pick up

Was at the Yamaha Factory shop in Malad. The new Yamalube 2T bottles are in stock and its now semisynthetic. Cost 230/- per litre.

    Should be worth it.

Strange that I didn't notice any difference There was a little bit of Yamalube left in the Oil tank when I filled 510. Maybe thats the cause of me not finding any difference?

Hey Bladerunner glad to know you too use 510 2T. Love the results
But 800 2T has to be used only as premix and not with the pump (You can check the same on the Motul website. In this same thread check the post #144 made by our senior member Raccoon). I use both the oils, result of 800 2T awesome. Try it

    Cheers!!

While pouring it to the oil tank I felt it is less denser than Yamalube and more free flowing.

In the end, I am not sure, what exactly I got by paying Rs.150 over and above Yamalube.
The 510 is superb. It makes my bike super smooth and it even sounds better. I've even noticed that the carbon deposits in the engine and exhaust are lesser when using this oil. Probably because of the FD rating.

Petronas Sprinta 5000 is over in Bombay and they are not even intending to get more. Agip too isn't available here.

Just picked up Motul 800 and intend to try a little with the pump.

if your engine has been rebuilt with a new bore or if a rebore has been done then it is advised to add more oil to petrol for a few hundred kms, this applies to the ones running on fuel pumps too, mechs usually recommend adding say 1part oil to 2lit petrol on ones running pumps

PS - I don't use oil pump & yet mix 30 ml with 40 ml you tend to burn the sparks faster than expected.

Where have i said to mix 40ml with 1liter petrol & then also the 2-T pump (All three combined) ?

    Show it !!

You have not gone through the posts properly posted by sat_06. He has clearly specified 2 different cases. Nobody ever combined these.

Am sorry, but this is how i have understood this. And yeah, even a nerd wont put 40ml with 1Lt with the 2-T oil pump running. My 1st RX is with me since 99 & the 2nd one is with me since 02, so its better that you dont teach me what is the difference between pre-mix or oil pump, i know what is best for my RX & i am following what is recommended in Owner's manual.

Take a chill pill & let your RX do the talking.

Btw, are you still rebuilding it my friend !!!

In my case i have clearly mentioned 40ml of 2-T oil mixed with 1Lt of Petrol. Once 40ml is filled, then you can't change the ratio, can you ?

You have that option before you fill the petrol, like 10/20/30/40/50/60...., but not later. There is no control, this is a typical open loop control system & the oil-pump system is a closed loop control system.

We all know which is better.

Motul 510 still unavailable, so filled Yamalube. It is way better than Shell Advance Bike feels lot more smoother

Yamalube Vs. Shell Advance? Yamalube wins
Yamalube was the company specified 2-T oil for RX135s and was manufactured by MOBIL. I have done loads of changes of 2-T oils just out of curiosity, the list goes below:
    1. Yamalube 2T (By Mobil)
    2. Mobil 2T
    3. Pennzoil 2T
    4. Castrol Jettex
    5. Shell Advance 2T
    6. Agip Fully Synthetic 2T
Trust me, as far as smoothness is concerned, its the same i felt for all the oils over the last 11Yrs of my experience with my RX135s. My street use RX still uses Shell advance & the Little higher powered 5-Speeder uses Agip Fully Synthetic oil. The reason to choose the Synthetic oil is to maintain the recommened temperature even at high RPM rides for longer duration without seizure and reduced emission.

I would like you to explain me, what exactly does smoothness mean? The word refinement would probably fit in here, but again it doesn't depend on which brand of oil (1 to 5) one is using !!!!

How does one measure it ?

P.S: If you are referring to the noise one gets from RX135, then show me a RX which doesn't have noise in Bore-Kit. Even brand new bike which i had purchased in 2002 (My 2nd RX) had noise in bore-kit. I had checked atleast 10 of it standing in showroom and all had this noise.

What i want to say here is, the oils (1 to 5) which i have mentioned above are all from very big & reputed companies. I for once, don't really think that they all give different performance. Nobody wins or loses here, its just a choice or brand preference.

Yes, 2T Oil Pump is controlled by engine RPM. For an RX there is a Plastic cog wheel on the RHS (where the clutch bell assembly is housed). The number of teeth are different for RX135 & RXG owing to different clutch assemblies.

The oil is bound to finish sooner the more you are riding at higher RPM. This is exactly what the engine should get to avoid seizure. It may also sieze if the pump stops, hence it is always recommended to pull the pipe out of the carb & open the throttle to see if the 2-T oil is flowing or not. I do this check everytime is take my RXs for a long ride. Its been 11Yrs now & till date i have had no issues with my RX.
