    b) You're one to talk about compensation.. Let's see now.. Bullet - 500 cc, TZR - 250cc, RD - 350 cc, Zma - 223 cc, Hayabusa - 1300cc, Thor/MT01 (well almost) - 1670cc.

See a pattern here? Over-compensating are we?

      Well...you showed me first

remember I moved from the Busa down to my smallest capacity 250cc TZR so I am quite comfortable with the shape in my pants

Anyway - wrong thread for these discussions so just let me have the last word and get a move on

I wanted to share this picture that Raju sent me a short while ago. This is the final product we are targeting: CLICK

To get there I will need to do the following:
      - TZ rear fairing - but if I need to incorporate the stock tail-light cluster...might have to work it differently
      - Tire hugger that will fit my swingarm
      - I suspect I will want a slightly more generous seat for my man-bits
      - Anodizing here and there in gold
      - Custom chambers... (Raju are you reading this sir?)
      - Front Fairings that aren't broken (looks like stock fairings minus the headlight hole...I need the headlight so that bit will look different)

        GSF,

WOWZIE. What a garage. Dream is an understatement. Truly inspiring is the WORD. Makes me wanna work harder man.

Getting an unraped Tzedder in itself takes a lorryload of good luck. And to ride it the way it is meant to be ridden: you're the man GSF

Meanwhile, post up pics asap. Great write up by the way.

Just to clarify - I don't own an MT01 and I no longer have the Busa (never had it in India anyway). What I have left I've put up in the first long post

3 months is about 1/4th of the time I spent looking for mine so I hope you luck out sooner rather than later. All I can say is - go south with your search...Coimbatore, Sri Lanka, Mysore, Bangy, Chennai etc.

The post was so goddamn interesting that the sheer volume of it went past me in a jiffy !
The rossi-gs jugalbandi happening gives the thread a 'very' unique (For want of a better word) ring.

@gs : Mithun has already invited himself. Here's me submitting my application as well
              Listening rossiter..?

A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

Thanks for the kind words people

What I really love about working with legends like Rajkumar and Rajendra is the sheer enthusiasm they have for all things that harbor an Internal Combustion Engine. You can take it for granted that bikes and cars will interest them...and you will be right everytime. What will surprise you is that Raju told me about this "nano" engine (not to be confused with Tata's latest effort in non-engineering). The nano-engine is a nano-scale internal combustion engine that will someday power up your mobile phones, laptops and whatnot.

These are two guys with racing experience. They've dished it out on track with every name that matters in Indian motorsport. I occasionally try to inject some brotherly discord by asking them "So who among the two of you is the quicker rider" and to my amusement, instead of having an argument, they unanimously agree that Rajkumar is the quicker of the two. I have a younger brother as well and we just love hanging out with the RR twins.

For most of us racing was never on the cards as a career. I truly believe my father would have used me for target practice if I had ever suggested that I wanted to race professionally. His disapproving glare still graces me everytime I descend to Chennai for a track-day...but I know he loves me regardless of my "dangerous" pastime. I haven't told him about the snakes and wild pigs that cross the race-track or he'd lock me up and marry me off to the next eligible Iyer girl that passed by our door. My dad used to ride the 1962 Enfield 350 bullet that I still own to this day and my love for 2-wheels began when he took me out on rides every evening. I'd sit on the gas tank and marvel at his balance and control with the muted bangs and vibes of the 350 thumper providing the sound-track.

I go to the track these days knowing that whatever happens...I have the support of people like Raju, Raja and my dad. I can go all-out...uninhibited and unafraid. The last time I was at the track I told Raju "Sir...I am going to crash today" and I did...BIG time. But everything was fixed in the end. RD350s and TZR250s happened in my life thanks to all these people (with Dad providing the immediate spot-financing ).

I don't believe in having a dream and doing nothing about it. Dreams are my destiny...my vision and every aching atom in me wants to realize my dreams. But dreams cannot be realized without guardian angels and when it comes to wheels...I think I have found mine.

Thanks Raja, Raju and Dad - without you guys I'd be going to work every-day and doing what other people expect of me

                              Quick Status Update:

                              1. The fuel tank is shagged beyond repair. We are ordering a new one from Singapore immediately and it should be here in a few days. Raju has also promised me an Aluminum tank soon (once he is done with his Go-Kart orders).

                              2. Jetting and tweaking will be done on Sunday (12th) and after this the bike will be ready to ride (pending a fuel tank and fairings)

                              3. New gear-shaft, clutch plates, etc. fitted. NEW instrument cluster will go on last after everything else is done.

                              4. The fairing guy has the original TZR mould and will be making me a fiberglass front fairing. My rear fairings are fine. Once this is done - bike will go for paint and decals.

                              5. I am hoping that by the 15th - everything will be ready and I'll fly down to chennai with 4 bottles of Motul 800 2t and decimate the Chennai Mosquito population.
