Dude! This thread was a hilarious read! Laughing my guts off.

Now, excuse me for my lack of knowledge on the TZR, I always thought the RD was way more scarier than the TZR. Now for some googling.

            UPDATE:

The bike is almost ready. All the new bits and pieces are installed.

            Pending work:
            - New gas tank (coming from Singapore)
            - Front fairing set (having this made from fiberglass while I figure out a better option)
            - Jetting and YPVS tune-up

The brand new zero turned Nippon Seiki instrument panels are gorgeous. I am so happy

The ones that came with the bike had ambassador meters in the case

Some pics for you to drool...

More during the 1st of May weekend...thats when I'll be reunited with the bike again

Damn.. so this is where the Motul I was lugging around for you is going! Should I remind you that 800 2T is scarce in the market? Could you be a bit more "common" in your choice of lubes?

Wanted to post this as a reply, but then its Akhil's thread and would be an OT. So here goes: What tires are u planning to plonk into it. Some Bridgestone's of the recommended spec perhaps? And will it be faster due to the lighter weight and the obvious ease of carrying higher speeds through?

a given fact that TZR's are track tools..the bike is gonna be a real treat in the corners.

Nikasil bores, racing pedigree engine and clutch components..heck this is gonna be a right off the shelf ready to race bike

Make sure you get those medium compound bridgestone battlax tyres..they're a treat for the kinda money you get them for

i cant wait to see this one in Mumbai

Motul stocks are arriving in the Indian market again..So go ahead and use it guru [for all the reasons you'd want to :P]

As far as my knowledge goes, Bridgestone BATTLAX are not available yet in India from any proper tire dealers. SBK spare dealers should have it though. Last I checked a guy in Chennai used it on his 220 for a whopping 14K. Since ur using one of a kind SBK, I think the cost would be justified!!! Overdrive magazine has ads of people selling the tire for the required size.

Thanks for the tip Apar...I'll check out my options. I think we are planning to use MRF rubber. There is a new tire which is excellent (according to Raju...and he knows what he is talking about) so it will definitely be better to use that as a daily tire and maybe deploy the Battlax for track use. Might even try scoring a pair of slicks...

Wow, a working TZR (i was just overcoming the euphoria of "seeing" a TZR, and now this i don't know how much more i can handle), just tell us when the bike is going to be all set and ready to be fired up, we'll all line up from the the garage to the street corner (like kids during August 15th) to hear this baby work it's magic!
