  • if you must know, 5 speed head is a low speed head meant to induce bottom end response in a 5 spd cylinder at the sake of sacrificial topend. Its actually a pretty lame head design honestly. 4 speed heads work way better at higher revs as they are meant to induce high end with a thinner squish band width. most guys running 5 spd barrels are using it for the revs so the 4 speed head with a few mods is actually the best option

      • Motorpipe refurbishing going on, lifted the stinger by three inches, burnt the old chrome out, papered the pipe and first coat of primer done, hopefully tommorow second coat.

Got hold of high temp 1200F matt black paint lets see how it holds up the heat, reataining the same end can it all depends on how it sounds and untill i lay my hands on a good quality end can, i am looking to minimize the sound as much as i can here.

Taking my first plunge on DIY cosmetic, pretty nervous to say the least, both the hands are still RED inspite of half soap gone in washing them but i am loving it ..

Some snaps as of now, the shining u see in the snap is of the flash not of the paint, dont be surprised or fainted for the same the primer is not shine friendly.

Yea all of a sudden at 8pm i fit supercharger in my back and fly and get the EP packing, and do this !! finally doing some justice for my user id .. thanks a lot man ..

Entering the powerband and shoulder going backwards is a priceless feeling, i am in love with the pipe, its not louder at low revs, so i can escape from being a meal for cops ..

Plan is to run around a bit and finalize the jetting part, and also look out if there are any leaks, fix them up and do a final coat of paint then ..

Some snaps and couple of vids :

Note : the video is taken indoor you can hear the echo clearlly, outdoor would be still silent..

great. next time i'm in bangalore im getting a party then.

On a serious note, a ported motor with your kind of intake cavity and reed valve and carburetor would only get justice with a sonic supercharger [i.e expansion chamber]. The good part is that your chamber is matched to your porting hence it hits the sweet spot this crazy. I am still concentrating only on usable power on your setup. No use having a bike that revs to the moon with no usable power in city conditions without being a pain to the ear.

You have earned it mate. For keeping faith in whatever tuning I gave you and not questioning or doubting/comparing or any hidden agenda. Thats the best trip. And thats why people like you end up with a sweet custom build. Keep up the good work.Im very happy myself. And I always told you, no 2 stroke is complete without an expansion chamber, now you know it yourself

Next thing time it right and throw some good fuel at the chamber and you're all set. And go for some good rides.

                      Cheers

                      • Finished painting the chamber, i underestimated things and bought less paint, so what the heck next week gonna repaint again, i feel headers needs more coats so be precise i am only 50% ok with the finish ..

Took out for a spin bike is pulling clean as of now, need to hit highway some time soon with some jets in hand ..
