Just a little offtopic - Today I'd mine clocking 100s with most of the time in 90+ for over 100 Kms!!! Performance was satisfying & the vehicle couldn't be held steady on at a speed, either it comes down or keeps going up. Was damn good & you can call it one of the ride of life!!!
Has anyone tested on 15(RX100)-34(RX135 4S) sprockets? Planning to get it changed for the upcoming TSG2G & hence the question.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

I guess he was asking about the model/code by which we identify the 4 and 5 speed head.Originally posted by jd666 View Post^^ head should be around 700-1000 bucks ideally,but people charge anything and everything.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

The 04-05 model 4 speed head came with the number 4TL5, even my four speed head has the same, that means your head is 4 speed.Originally posted by aalop143 View Post09l for 5 speed , i am confused bcz i have 4tl 5 series head for 5 speed
Edit : in some yamaha showrooms it was sold saying it is 5 speed head, actually its not.Last edited by psycho 98; 06-16-2010, 05:44 PM."Engine tuning is not an exact science, but with some practice and patience you'll get comfortable with your skill and be able tune for any conditions mother nature throws at you"

Nothing happens. I have seen so many cases wherein, 5-speeders run with 4-speed cylinders & my very own bike & friends bike is still running with a 5-speed cylinder with a 4-speed head for nearly 8Yrs.
If you don't believe me then fit one of each & test it for yourself. Atleast i didn't feel any difference in accelaration or top end. As long as your cylinder is in good condition & able to make good enough power; nothing can stop it, 4 or 5-speed head, just doesn't matter. Lot depends on who tunes your bike & the kind of mods done on it.
If somebody has to disprove me, then i need some mathematical data which gives the complete performance oriented figures.
