    UPDATE

Got the broken nut out at a Lathe Shop! Work seemed to be very good! It took an hour to do it,Charged ₹100 for it.Basically,They removed the handlebar holding thing,Examined the broken nut,Used a tool and shaped the round to flat and tried to remove with good ol' set of pliers. But for our bad luck,it broke completely and left us with no option other than machining it.So he kept in the drill,Used different sizes of needles to slowly penetrate it,from small ones to big ones. Then I went to a parts shop to get the nut and by the time I returned,It was ready lol They also tapped the thread so it will prevent further damage.Onto pictures now!

Next work : New Chain,Front & Rear Sprockets! Coming soon!Click image for larger version

      UPDATE

      Major work done today!
      Replacement of Chain,Chain Sprockets,Wheel Bearing,Wheel Rubber,Front Mudguard Cable rubber
      and Chain Guard Rubber!

Something that was stuck in my head for a long time, like ever since I got the bike. The bike was making kat kat noises from the chain while riding and it gets much worse when I had to move it backwards. It got a little too bad yesterday with a sudden development of a lot of noises so I had no choice but to replace it ASAP.Went to Mechanic near my house.Very cheerful and experienced guy,Had a young assistant too.He owned two RTRs and a Max 100,Although the Suzuki is not in a great shape,He told he is planning to restore it soon. But yeah,The job took about 1 and a half hour.He asked me to get the parts and come,I got the parts all TVS Original ones and it costed ₹1090.I also got Brake Springs,as mechanic told one spring was missing and it might be the cause of brake squeal (and he was right!).He charged ₹250 for labour and did an awesome job! No more noises or rattle from the chain,No more brake noises and no more slipping now.

      Onto the pictures now!

        UPDATE

Kind of a disaster - The Fuel Tap suddenly started leaking a lot of Petrol. It was just too dangerous for me to ride it in this situation. So I had to change it.On the same time,I had replaced the Air Filter and also the Spark Plug cap to the one on Hero Honda in Red Colour. It is said to be water resistant so yeah,That was also added in the mix! I also fixed the Front right Footpeg that was bent.Carburettor was retuned too!

        On to the Pictures!

Just a few more fixes remaining and the bike will be in perfect (kind of) shape! Updates coming soonClick image for larger version

          UPDATE

Removed Chain Guard,Got the Seat Fixed and finally fixed the Center Stand today!

Removed the lower Chain Guard as it was rubbing the chain and making noises that no amount of adjustment was able to fix. That meant I had to waste ₹20 each time I went there.Totalled ₹60 *facepalm* the Upper Guard is fine though. The seat was a very nagging thing,Kept moving all over the place and made screeching noises.Had to remove it,change the bushes and retighten it and voila! It was secure! Hope it stays secure.Costed ₹70 (₹30 for bushes,₹10 for screws,₹30 for labour)

Major work was the Center Stand. It required wielding.Found out that the whole issue was caused by the rear suspension.Previous Owner seems to have changed it to the ones from some other bike, that is taller than the original one that came with the bike.Which caused both the wheels to touch the ground even when the Center stand was put - Dangerous as it makes the bike vulnerable to a fall even with a slight push. That too,in my college, mishaps happen all the time.So I wanted to fix it.I went to wielder and he told me about the suspension thing. He said he can increase the height of the Center stand but it will make the work of putting it a lot more difficult. But that's not a problem.Costed ₹80 and it was done within 5 minutes. He disconnected the Battery and Spark Plug when he did it.The Rear Wheel is well lifted now with the Center Stand on,but yeah,as he said,It's a little difficult to get it on Center stand. But worth it! The bike is much more stable now.Costed ₹80

Pictures now!Click image for larger version

            UPDATE

Fixed the Speedometer Rattle today by changing the rubber mounts!

The old one was very old and it was like plastic with a lot of wear and tear.I got the rubber mounts for ₹5 each, Unscrewed the Speedo base,Took it out,Removed the old mount and installed the new mount and put them all back together, and it is perfectly fit now! Doesn't rattle or vibrate and is properly seated!

Almost all fixes done.Only very few remain which I will do later.Right now,The bike is in near-perfect shape!Click image for larger version

Thanks! Work is almost done.Just a few more remains.I might need a new kicker and a gear lever. Both are not exactly secure. They have worn out for the most part. Also finally a wash and polish too,and the bike will be absolutely perfect!

And at the end you can also think of giving it a new paint job especially for those aluminium parts. That would be the icing on the cake

Yeah,Actually if I can do a paint job,I can very well fully restore the bike from ground up! The paint is decent now,There is not much fading or chipping seen.I am trying to fix the immediate issues to make it in proper running shape. Thanks for the comment ji Also,Aluminium ? Where and which parts exactly, are made of Aluminium ? I think the tank is made of steel and so is the frame,I am not sure. The panels are plastic.

                    UPDATE

Replaced Rear Clamp and Rear Numberplate!

The Rear Clamp that holds the number plate and indicator gave up yesterday night while coming back home after a concert.Started rattling all over the place so I had to ride the bike slow.Got a new clamp for ₹50 and also a number plate for ₹40 and went to a sticker shop for the sticker and mechanic, for fixing it as it involved removing the indicator wiring and all,I didn't want to touch it.

Onto the pictures now! Click image for larger version

Birthday Special! Replaced the Kicker Rod with Oil Seal, installed Shifter Rubber,Replaced Neutral and Console Lamp!

The Kicker Rod was a long due work as it was moving around a lot and hitting the crankcase.I couldn't get OEM rod so I went with M.A.C Kick Rod.Costed ₹250 and installation ₹50 (he asked ₹30 but I gave ₹50 as Pongal wishes).Got the Bulbs for ₹5 each and fixed it myself,The rubber costed another ₹5 and I fixed it myself too.

Almost all the work is done and only a proper wash and polish remains!

                        Nice job.
Actually i would like to share some info's.
As you had first told that IND-SUZUKI emblem is missing on your speedometer, actually it comes only with the Ax-100. The Max100, Ax-100R,Max 100-R all comes Tvs-Suzuki embossing only. And another thing is you told that you had plans to convert to a samurai upgrade speedometer assembly. It is not easily possible on a max-100 because max-100 fuel tank doesn't have a provision for fuel gauge Assembly and also we can't fit the samurai upgrage meter clamp directly on to any other Suzuki bike other than the second version of Shaolin (Both of them have the same clamps). And you also have mentioned about RVM. Can you please tell me its full form as i have not heared about RVM's (only heard about RPM). I have one suggestion even though it is pointless now you could have gone with the Kb-100 mirrors instead of the Suzuki ones. They are amazing. And i have one more suggestion you could change the indicators to that of samurai's or shogun's or Rx-135. And if you do want a Supra's Tail piece assembly you can get it at Classic Fiber works. I had bought the mask of my shogun from them. They are having the tail piece and seat base i think.

Anyways i liked the work that you had done on this to make it even more beautiful.

If you have got any doubt regarding anything you cam pm me. If know about that thing i will definitely help you.

And have you checked on which bore your max-100 is?. If not then get a half gasket from the store which contain the head gasket and take it to the workshop. Its not urgent. Just said here because you will be having a detailed info about your engine so if any work comes on it you can slowly procure the things and you will not be facing any problems. Meanwhile if you are not aware of your current bore size, when something happens you will be opening the bore for the first time and you will be in super hurry to source the parts which would be a lot of pain.
                        Thanks

                          Thanks
Thanks a ton for the reply sir!

Yes,about that logo,I got it done in the local sticker shop who did a good job! Just the SUZUKI logo!

Yes,I forgot about that Console and Fuel meter thing. Its a simple rule,If the bike gets to reserve, fill it up.Also it's a bliss to ride always,so I am not worried about it anymore.

RVMs,mean Rear View Mirrors sir.Yeah,I got the Max 100Rs itself.I agree,KB's mirrors and even RXZ's mirrors are awesome! But yeah,I got the stock ones and they do a decent job.Shogun mirrors are impossible to find ji.

Yes,I might be changing the indicators in the future. This Hero Honda Indicators don't really look good on this bike.

Regarding Supra Tail, well lol,It requires changing the seat so out, went that idea. But it's still very beautiful!

Thanks a lot sir,It's been a wonderful journey so far!

I have not checked it yet,But I'm pretty sure the engine hasn't been opened...yet.Thanks a lot for the heads up,You are right.I shall definitely get to know the status of it.Right now it's doing very well.Only problem is mileage, which is 34-38kmpl at maximum and drops if ridden fast (lol, barely beats a scooter).I'm guessing that the piston rings and Clutchplates (maybe) are shot.Bike has run over 50K KMS (that's what the previous owner told me).But there is no starting trouble,no hiccups during ride, nice 2 stroke sound,no too much smoke,no slips during acceleration of any sort.So it's a bit confusing.

I am yet to change the Spark plug and exhaust has not been cleaned.I might be doing these soon and hopefully they should improve the efficiency.

Thanks a lot for your help ji [emoji120]

exactly it is the basic thing. And pretty amazing thing about the suzuki is it has nice fuel capacity. Even the reserve is 2L.

Yeah this will not be the mileage that a max100 has. Do you know if the vehicle has been kept aside without using for 1 or 2 year. Then it could be the problem with the combustion.Attaching a page of the manual of Ax-100R which is having the exact same specification as that of samurai and max-100 Click image for larger version

This or near to this is what you should get. Your's is no where near to that. If you get a supra powerup manifold then you could use it. I have heard that it increase the mileage a little bit and it will be more smooth to ride in the mid range too.

Kk. I think that you exhaust doesn't have problem because you don't have problem with pickup. Kk try and check.

Sure ji,Won't call sir lol.Yep,Reserve is 2 litres so that helps! Yeah,As per what the previous owner says,No,The bike was frequently used...which kind of is true, considering the condition that I got this bike in,almost nothing worked apart from the lamps, lots of things were loose and rattling all over the place.Which means that the bike was ridden around a lot,all those shocks from the road have caused things to break, become loose.etc.But I am also sure that it has been in an accident, not a minor one.Because the entire front end was changed with Hero Honda parts (Headlamp,Indicators,Clamps,Handlebar.etc) and the bike wobbles a little at speeds of 50-70kmh/r.

Also Supra Manifold ? Are those even available nowadays ?

If it wobbles means he should not have replaced the stem i guess that might be the reason behind wobbliness. The stem might have some small bends.
And regarding the Supra powerup's manifold. So hard to find it nowadays. But if you find them it will be worth the effect. In the fb groups some had listed unused manifold for sale i think. But they are quoting 500 for it. Try to find one by yourself. If i get something at a reasonable rate i will inform you also. In fact i am also searching for another one .
