As the title suggests,This was awesome! The head was opened the first time and it had some carbon deposits. Was thoroughly cleaned and set back in,with a new Bosch Spark Plug. Then later, the Wiring kit costed β‚Ή350 and labour was β‚Ή500.But the Rectifier had gone bad so another β‚Ή250 for it.The Headlight died in the testing process so another β‚Ή20 for that. The electrician I went to,is by far one of the best in Chennai.Spark Plug Costed β‚Ή70,Indicators costed β‚Ή460 and the labour for installing those two was β‚Ή400.Overall,The bike feels amazing now! Everything works, finally. There are little to no rattles anywhere.Since mechanically it's almost perfect now,I will check efficiency one more time to see if there is any improvement.

Almost all the work is done!
Remaining is

Chain Clean&Relube
Proper Wash + Polish

Good Job. I am so pleased that you have gone for the Shogun Indicators. While opening the head did you checked the bore size. Wheather it is a standard one or an oversiezed one.

UPDATE

Bike doing well,But few issues has cropped up now :

Front Brake Cable failed (again)
Right footpeg rubber is torn
Front Fork right leaking a bit

Will be fixing them soon.I have refilled 2.71lts of Petrol + 50ml Oil at ODO Reading 2,621KM....I hope it improves, considering the fact that the bike is mechanically near-perfrct right now.Right now it's like 34-38kmpl generally.I hope the bike touches 40kmpl lol.

We'll see!

UPDATE

2700KM ODO - Replaced Rear Tyre with Michelin Sirac 3.00 18" along with the Tube and then replaced Handlebar to the RD350 Type!

Bike feeling really good. The Previous Tyre had a puncture and that was the 3rd one,so I had to change it.I got the Tyre and Handle as a gift from my friend, but total cost is close to β‚Ή2,500.

Bike is nearly ready.Needs a wash and then Chain Lubrication and it will be perfect!Click image for larger version

Too high & wide at least from the snaps, IMO. All cables look stretched

Yes,It is a bit too wide, but not too high.I feel much more comfortable with this compared to the cramped position with the old HH handle. The Cables aren't really stretched. They can move around without much pressure. The photo might show a different picture, but in reality,It is not really 'stretched' but yeah, somewhat,it is a little tight fit compared to it loosely hanging on the HH handle.

I actually have great leverage with this handlebar and I am also being able to have a sturdier grip on it.My wrists are far more comfortable and so are my shoulders. One negative is because of the handle's size,It can't squeeze in tight spots,so heavy traffic might not be it's forte. But my riding is mostly in the early mornings and late nights, where traffic will be very little,so that's not a problem ji

UPDATE

Took me too much time to realise the importance of what you told ji.Due to the length,I could feel that the accelerator cable was much more stiffer....within minutes,The Clutch cable snapped and I was in deep trouble as I couldn't get to college on time.

I have cut short the handlebar by 2CM on both ends, replaced clutch cable and now things are back to normal. But the rains have made the bike a little dirty,so I have to clean it.Shall post good pics of the bike soon!

How come you're still getting a FE of 34-38kmpl after a proper rebuild? If I ride the Shogun properly without ripping it, I get a FE close to 40kmpl. Max 100 and Samurai's should return 60kmpl from what I've seen.

No idea sir But yeah,That's the way this bike is.I did everything I could.I'm happy with it.It used to give 31kmpl before,so 34 to 38kmpl is a step forward definitely.

UPDATE

Upgraded to Shogun Muffler : Beautiful Exhaust Note!

Nothing much to say,The exhaust note is beautiful, crisp and a little louder than stock.I haven't used Glasswool so maybe that's why it's loud. The Muffler costed β‚Ή300 and shipping from Bangalore costed β‚Ή60.I installed it myself, the work is a piece of cake.

Will be uploading a before vs after video comparing the stock and shogun muffler.Click image for larger version
