Did anyone see today's Wheelocity on Zee Business ? It was a full coverage of the 3 days (ucal + one make) at Kari.

The host was desperate to find out what makes the mopeds go that fast. One mechanic personally explained it to her Stock bore, "engineered" bigger piston, reed valve, carb, clutch etc... Very funny... It seems crashes thrills her, so..all the crashes were shown on national TV, a pessimistic touch i should say!! Heck, my mom saw that program and ordered a house arrest for the upcoming races

                Good job

                Hey Karthik,

Your efforts are well appreciated. I would love to do these kinda restorations of old bikes. But unfortunately I am not that talented as you guys and I would like to join you guys in restoring bikes if you allow.

And my dad still rides a 1995 Bajaj M80.

                Just a humble request..

Even I am waiting for the update on your XL 50.

Once again great job there. Cheers to you.

@ All : thanks for the encouraging words. Its high time I resumed working on the bike(which is still the center of attraction in my living room )

Meanwhile guys, I came across this website which is that of a moped collector's. I couldnt help notice a striking similarity between the tvs 50 and this moped. See for yourself.

The engine and the large pully with two holes in it (almost 50%) looks almost similar to the old TVS XL/XTs.

The owner claims that these restored bikes touch 35mph.

Looks like TVS guys derived some design cues from these mopeds. Nevertheless, TVS guys made it reach 100kmph+ back in 1985 which makes them stand apart.what say guys ?

No more cosmetic changes, not after seeing the tvs 65 mopeds on track.
