Anyway, during idle, check if your engine stops when you pull the choke. Also triple check if the jets have been tightened sufficient & there're no air leaks from the rubbers & the clamps have been tightened adequate & the oil flow tube has been inserted correctly.

I assume the bold means "engine shuts down". Then I'd suggest taking it to a mechanic to get it fixed rather than experimenting now because, at this point something might work, but when it comes to riding on the D day, not sure what could go wrong. Besides, there might not be sufficient time to do R&D at this point.Originally posted by dpak89 View Post

Answers in boldOriginally posted by dpak89 View Postguys!! Help me!! i am having a prob in Carb(i think
)....i just nw changed CDI unit and silencer core(in YSS)...and then i cleaned carb myself
!!yesterday my bike suddenly stopped when it was running
!! i then tried everything like cleaning plug and fixing it again!!etc...only after removing carb and reinstalling the jets it started again!!
If the Carb is not cleaned regularly you will get a whitish deposit on all surfaces, and after some time will make the jet orifices small..
P.S:it took 3 hours to start it again
!! then i found that the spark plug was not working ...so i fixed a new one!!
When changing spark plugs see if it is the right heat range and NGK...Never ever use Champion, which is known for failure and weak spark. now it is starting but still when i engage clutch or when i release the throttle it goes off!! but in neutral its fine, idling is good!! is this coz of jets setting??
Yes you are still running lean ,your jets are clogged
only 3 days for ISG2G !!

pls help !!When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

clogged?? but when i checked the jets i can clearly see through it!! i mean the orifice hole is very clear!! but i adjusted the air screw!!! that will be the cause of problem i hope!! can you tell me how to set air screw...like should i tighten the screw or loosen it ?? (with repect that i am running lean)Originally posted by psr View PostAnswers in boldRx is a Phoenix!!! It always rise from ashes!!

Now you are telling me you adjusted the air screw.!!!....To set it turn it clockwise GENTLY till it stops....Now turn it Anti clockwise by 3 HALF TURNS (One and a half full turn).ride the bike for 25 Kms continuously and see the color of plug....If it is dark and dry it is rich turn half a turn ANTI clockwise. If it is whitish it is lean then turn the air screw half a turn clockwise.....ride again for 25 Kms and see the result...Originally posted by dpak89 View Postclogged?? but when i checked the jets i can clearly see through it!! i mean the orifice hole is very clear!! but i adjusted the air screw!!! that will be the cause of problem i hope!! can you tell me how to set air screw...like should i tighten the screw or loosen it ?? If you have access to a CO (Pollution control) Machine you can set up your AFR correctly. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

While idling set CO for 1.8 to 2.5...should be ok, by turning the AFR screw.Originally posted by dpak89 View Postoh!! thanks for the awesome explanation sir!!! i will definitely go to a pollution control machine today for getting a PUC!! so how can i check it through that machine??When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.
