Intention - Seeking advice & suggestion as I'm considering to fit an AM air filter & upjet my carb
Criteria - This mod should not affect the longevity of the cylinder+piston life

If its a UNI you should not have any problems with the life of the cylinder and piston. Keep it well oiled and clean all the time and it will last you 4-5 years atleast.Originally posted by aargee View PostWaking up this thread after long time...

You will need to upjet with any filter you fit. A 180 Mikuni MJ works well on a stock RX135.

Coming to the point, any specific reasons for the AM filter & Up Jetting? Is this just going to be an R&D or for the long run keeping some other purpose in mind?
@ Nitesh, Can you shed some light on optimum jet sizes for a bone stock 5S running on a chrome pipe & Uni Pod filter. Asking because made a home made filter and tried out some jetting & trust me, jetting is one a$$ that cannot get it right, so switched back to stock.Whenever there is a Rainbow in the sky, I know it's u mastering the art of Cornering. A Uni on a stock RX135 works good with 180MJ. Bit of carb tuning and youre set. Most of the pilot doesnt need to need to be changed. On a 5sp, switching to 17.5 should do the job.Originally posted by dual disc 200 View Post

Ditto...none other than...the one & only UNIOriginally posted by yamdoot View PostIf its a UNI...180 Mikuni MJ works well on a stock RX135.

BTW, can I use the TM28 or should I stick only with VM22? Carb will definitely by Mikuni for sure be it VM or TM. So it will be 180 & 17.5 mm right?

I don't believe this! Performance mod? Uni filter? Upjetting? Aargee?

Your flatslide might be an overkill at stock cylinder. Well, my guess is that like Nitesh said, try experiment with VM22 with 180MJ. I remember long time back Anand in GP Road had some jets. You can give a shot.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

, have placed an order for the UNI pod & jets too. Let me see if i can get this right this time Aargee.
Was wondering the samething here, a person who won't move an inch apart from being OEM is discussing for mods nowOriginally posted by SriramEfunds View PostI don't believe this! Performance mod? Uni filter? Upjetting? Aargee?

Lol!!! Guys...cool; I'm only trying to experiment; I'm expecting a little stress free engine that's all; if I don't get what I need, I'll switch back to stock. Call it the effect of the other 4joke if you want to, but, that's what I'm trying to accomplish.Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostWas wondering the samething here...experiment Aargee & waiting for ur results.
Like I said before, its only a Summer project as I can't go out anywhere. By the time monsoon starts, I might switch to stock probably.
Yes, that's what I thought; it might do well on higher speeds I guess.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostYour flatslide might be an overkill at stock cylinder
When you're here...I'm not going anywhere dearOriginally posted by SriramEfunds View PostI remember long time back Anand in GP Road had some jets. You can give a shot.
Sounds interesting; I'm thinking the same for me tooOriginally posted by dual disc 200 View PostI've jumped into the same project after experimenting with various home made filters
Let me talk to you on this someday.
Kindly keep me posted, whether I do it first or not, would like to share the results.Originally posted by dual disc 200 View Posthave placed an order for the UNI pod & jets too.
