I'm really doing this because, I'm tired of being taken for a ride. Also one more IMPORTANT reason...

When one gives the vehicle to an independent garage or even at A.S.S, the issue is that, those guys treat it as machine & do all nonsense when working, but we do take care. To give an example, when they remove the gear lever, they use a screw driver or something to pull the gear lever out; yes I too do the same, just that I wrap the screw driver with a cloth so that the paint is not damaged.

When I remove the side panels, I place them inverted at some good secured place where no one can reach easily. But at a garage???

Never I've placed the fuel tank on the ground, I always place it on the seats. But at A.S.S???

This is what is the difference between business & passion!!! There might be some good mechanics who would want to do this, but few guys who work under them are careless!!!
WOW! Im so happy to see your intense love for the bike. you surely deserve to learn more man and you will. Just keep in mind to ask the right person for help.. prolly someone who's a local and see him work.. understanding something on the phone/ internet will never be complete unless you see it from your own eyes. Do what experienced ppl say and dont disregard them. I know people on the forum who will never want to see others bikes getting better than theirs. So keep your eyes open.

Yah @JD, but, I'm trying to sound as funny as possible; you'll not know how much of frustration I was undergoing. Before I could fix the jerking issue, I was so much annoyed seeing another Rx; here I've been spending a bomb to get every nut & bolt changed for this jerky ride, while some guy is riding his rusted, old Rx smooth!!!

Yeah, its all getting better these days & my knowledge too

I've only one thing to say @Yamdoot, whether ppl provide incorrect solution intentionally or unknowingly, I might miss a few things in the beginning, but you know very well, I don't give up until I fix things

So when I follow their advice, end of the issue, I know who talks genuine & who doesn't. Right?

Trust me, NO ONE has guided me incorrectly till now; 2 guys to whom I'm owe are, JD & psycho98.

Sri is one guy to whom I owe everything ; like I said before, if it were not him, my Rx wouldn't be up & running even now. He's really a God sent, atleast to me @yamdoot.

            • @ Aargee.. good you have ppl by your side. from what i know about Sri, he a grt person..
Anyways, lets get to your prob solving.. I was wondering why ppl were telling you to fully rotate the stator counter clockwise when the install docs clearly say to start fully clockwise with the pulsar coil at 5 or 6 o'clock and then move CCW as you find the rite spot.

When I entered this community, came with little or zero about RX. Trust me! Just over a year, only learned how far is 'knowledge (on bikes)' from my understanding, woah! it is a long road. Thanks Aargee for your kind words.

Well, I would go beyond the install doco these days

See @Yamdoot, like me, many ppl may not have sufficient knowledge, but they'll be willing & eager to help, so try to pour suggestions, which I do APPRECIATE with whole heart.

So whatever ppl taught, helped me understand what I'm doing. Fortunately my education helps me to improve my knowledge from what I'm doing & what I understand

Next time, someone struggles, I'll be able to guide them from WHEREVER they stand , now that's the confidence I've built.

Well, not only you, its for everyone that mechanics cheat. Trust me it happens in a different form even in western countries & I was surprised. Let me give the difference...

India - The mech gives a high talk saying, "Saar, 5 speed, super, will smoke out RD etc"; when one falls into prey, they replace with all substandard parts or fake ones & steal the original parts.

West - The mech states that the job will take X hours & he can do it for $Y & he'll do it for less than $Y. Ultimately, he'll not even take quarter of X hours & will charge you for it. That's one way.

In second form of con, they do a misguide because of their competent knowledge to fix the problem (they'd replace the part instead of fixing) thus charging for what they do.

I simply turned my anger/frustration positive & turned my anger constructive ; Result? I don't have to depend on mechs anymore; I don't have the fear of loosing any part being replaced with fake one

We're religiously following our law here - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/xbhp-off...rself-gtg.html

But again, from my experience, I'd say, buy tools & start things on your own; do not wait for any incident to happen, simply start removing the parts by yourself. Ensure you've a spare vehicle, incase you're unable to put things back. Not that I don't want to teach, but, there's nothing that can beat the confidence of one handling his own ride all by themselves. You can always reach out to me, I love talking on automobiles through the day

You need to open up the cylinder head, scrape the carbon from piston head & check the size; 3rd oversize is 0.75 & you should see that being embossed on the head.

I don't know what to say; your rebore could be done on existing cylinder as well as they could insert a sleeve; like I said above, there're too many things involved. To address specific questions, I'd suggest opening a dedicated thread for you.
