I have almost zeroed the issue to the welded part which is near the drain bolt. I had interchangeably blamed drain bolt/welded piece (guess the cracked case was welded which I've no idea when it was done). Well, I'm planning to get an inspection done soon along with Aargee coming weekend if weather permits.

@All: I have opened the thread of my issue in Help Me section RX135 Engine Oil leakage - Help ! . Kindly share your thoughts.

    • I know I haven't been posting pics for quite sometime now. Here're 2 pics; don't ask me which is stock position & which is advanced, without the timing gun working, I don't know

This is the current position which it is running now

And this is how the old stator plate looked like...

Do you know how it works? Can you educate me pls? I'm dying to get that timing right on my Rx. I'll be grateful to you.

Aw c'mon RG! no need for such words.. I need to try it myself soon too. Just looking for a cheap alternative. From what i have gathered, it shines intermittently and when shone on the moving rotor, it should appear stable if the timing is right. [Just like the moving ceiling fan appears still when you flicker a light on it or when you switch on the tube light].

I see the light flickering. So stable light is the one I should be looking. No worries. I'll do that RIGHT TOMORROW & post the steps how to carry out here or may be as a DIY.

I'm determined to find the position man!!! Thanks for the encouragement

Yes. be sure to mark the TDC first.

Yea yeah!!! I've done that using connector; but what I doubt is...
                              1. Where will the light flash constantly?
                              2. Does it keep flashing at one single point no matter how I hold the timing light OR should I hold in one specific position?
                              2a. If so what position?
                              3. Does the timing light really read the current from the ignition cap/wire?

                              • The light will keep flickering but the rotor/ TDC mark should align well and appear stable. RDD install docs should give you some ideas. and the light need not be connected to the bikes wiring i believe.
