  • @Nitin - I don't know how to explain; but one thing for sure; its atleast 50 times better than what it used to be before the complete build. To be more precise, I would say at the speeds above 80 Kmph I can see the OE mirrors vibrations of 2-3 mm.

Even otherwise, there's an issue with my Rx. The sprockets are giving the "tuck tuck" noise. I guess time to change the sprockets. And most importantly...

The clutch damper in the rear wheels are getting worn out soon. Guys any idea why?

I seriously don't know what the hell is going on with my Rx!!! It has hit reserve today at 3554.

Does this translate 3554-3009 = 545!!! No way!!! There's something seriously wrong somewhere. Or may be its 3309? I'm getting my own doubts now!!!

Everytime something funny happens like this & that's why I decided to stop measuring!!!

I was riding like an Uncle for over 1 week because I wanted to check the mileage!!! Damn it!!! Now I need to ride one more week!!!

I couldn't help posting, just check you fuel tap assembly. When the bike came to reserve was there any petrol left? If so, then how much?

Once, my bike never came to reserve at all & it was direct "dry" & had to push over to bunk. Later i changed the fuel tap assembly & the problem was rectified.

One more sugesstion, try 15/38 or 16/37 sproket setup as yours is a 5-speed now.

And regarding vibs, 2-3mm in mirror is quite common, heck my 5-speeder used to vibrate like crazy (foot rest) when used to hit the power band. This was mainly due to bad foot rest assembly + Fat tire, then replaced with IRC Rim (Union Cycle) & Michelin Tyre & new foot rest assembly. Trust me even at 120Kmph+ there is no vibs (Except the mirror, which i rarely look at). Go for the best of Rims & Tyres, else there will be lot of wobbling.

Can you maybe repost the pic of your bike or tell me on which page is it?

Karthik the problem is not the mileage being low; the issue is high mileage; I mean 500 Kms with 8 lts fuel is NEVER possible in Rx. Not its not dry, I've checked it & it has about 1 - 1.5 lts fuel.

I've a HH's rim for over 3+ years now, not a single sign of rust; they're good indeed.

Do you actually feel any dip in RPM when shifting from 4th to 5th? And what is lowest possible speeds you can pull of in 5th gear without the chain rattling? Just explain in brief as to how is feels from 1 through 5 gears.

Since your bore is just 12BHP, this setup might just work out fine, but once modified, then there will be no pull in 5th gear.

            Awaiting pics.

Definitely no dip in RPM (I like that too), but there's definetly a pull in 5th gear. I mean something like this...

              1 - 0 - 10
              2 - 10 - 30
              3 - 30 - 40
              4 - 40 - 60
              5 - 60 - 100

and the acceleration is a decent pull

              However, if I do this...
              1 - 0 - 30
              2 - 30 - 50
              3 - 50 - 70
              4 - 70 - 90
              5 - 100. Period!
Which means, 5th will never go beyond 100 & 4th will never go beyond 90

              Say, about 30?

              Explained above in 2 scenarios

Modify you mean as in 15/34 or the ones you recommended?

By modification i meant modifying the barrel. Is it ported?

There should be some noticable dip in RPM in 5th gear as compared to 4th gear. The engine stress reduces in 5th gear, thats the main advantage.

The advantage of using 15/38 or 16/37 with 5-speed GB is that, it feels like a close ratio GB & always giving you an impression of being in Power band.

Anyways, as long as you are happy with the bike's performance better to keep it the way it is.

Yes, the stress is reduced, but dip, I'm not sure how to explain; let me give an attempt.

The dip cannot be compared to any of the shifts from 1-2;2-3;3-4. Its way better than all those & the pull is almost similar to what I experience in 4.

Yes that's the point; the optimum cruising speed of Rx is built around in 80's & the entire engineering is built around it. I like to follow that. If I need to cruise in 100, I need to buy a one of the moderns like C5/ZMR/P220/RTR.

I remember Arvind Raju once said - One cannot fart more than what he eats; If Rx is designed for 80-100, then it does 80-100. Period.

                    • Got these parts today for setting up new disc brake assy. These are Glad's part; finally one more missing part the bottom tube of the front suspension!!!

Thank Sri for getting me the parts.

Along with this, I got the 165 main jet & don't know how to identify the size of pilot jet!!! - Thanks Psycho98 for your suggestion.

@Sri - The existing Rx's front axle is not a direct fit & need to be customized. So for me, its almost a direct fit with the existing suspension bottom. When it comes to you, you've to drill a slightly bigger one at your front suspension bottom & obviously get a front bottom for the disc side . Can you help me with that also pls? I need it ASAP so as the work goes as planned this weekend & test it on Sunday.

                      • ^ I shall try for Gladiator front axle rod and I hope it fits just right. In my case would change the existing bottom of that of Gladiator's with axle rod. Would take pointer from your installation.

Araey no boss, even RX's rear axle is suffice, just a small juggad for Rs 60 will work the magic. I'm not sure if Glad would be a direct fit, otherwise, there's always juggads

They're not direct fit to Rx. Req to go through previous page, where I've shared the info as what needs to be done & which parts to buy. Even with Pulsar, you need to get the same setup done.

Price - Not to offend you, sorry, there're quite few people, who simply ask about the price & go back hibernating. In a way, what Karthik does is right on the pricing. So no disclosing the price unless someone is serious about it.

Instead, I would suggest you get to the market, find out the parts that are required along with their prices & post it here as if those prices are reasonable & there're experts here who WILL guide you.
