No matter its Rx or non Rx, all mechs are unreliable; its purely because they belong to that segment of the society. One of the top mech in Chennai, who used to be expensive affair does the same, atleast that's what I heard from people who used to give it to him.

It all began last year June/July when I was cheated badly. I was robbed of bore kit + Head (just got to know) and 3k in cash. God damn! I got reminded now which I hate to remember that incident. I had gone through sleepless nights for weeks after knowing the bike did not sound like how for the past 11 years. Somehow did not like it at all so took it to Y.A.S.S and found out the truth. Big time robbed. Since I did not have proof (nor technical knowledge) could not go fight, but went to him and said that I did not like the way it is set up. I was consoled that 'after couple of days you will start liking it'. Cursed myself for being a victim. After some calls across the city, Thank God, one of the dealers had a bore kit and was lucky to get it fixed (don't ask me what happened to the old bore, I did not take it with me ).

Then no turning back. Started to search the internet to learn about my bike, ah! xbhp.com and here I am. Sorry, I could not resist writing the reason behind my question the Head.

Please let me know about the head. By any chance would that be of RX100?

You could have coined with better word 'robbed' than 'played'. Aargee, I had a look at the new head plonked on my bike. It does say 4TL5 on the top side.

You don't even have to open the head. It is there bang on top. All you need to do is look at the left side top of the bike when you sit on your bike.

But, Sri...I've 4TL00 printed underneath the cylinder head; this is on my old head. What does 00 indicate? Rx100?

I'll open the existing cylinder head & check underneath this weekend.

What the hell???

The bike started moving in reverse - Lol; I was surprised, instead of a worried face, I was lauching, called my Wife & showed her my new ability!!! I told her, not even Busa, R1 or Ducs have this ability!!!

She was dumb to ask, if I was working the whole day only to accomplish this? But then I explained to her as this happened by mistake & we should stop laughing as something would've conked off inside. But trust me, those were real hilarious moments.

So I removed the setup once again to find the fault; nothing unusual as such, nothing visible apart from everything being normal. So I fitted it back. Very cautiously I engaged 1st gear & voila!!! It started moving front ; Good I'm happy now.

But then I observed a strange issue; the cylinder is getting hot, very hot just for a 2 Kms non ripped ride. I don't know what the issue is all about, but it gets simply hotter. But did I solve this issue? And boy!!! did I think this was hilarious? Nope; the worst is yet to come.

oh argee your bike went reverse good there was no one behind or else would have hurted either,i remember a close friend had a jawa(belonged to his father)when we used to go to college during the 90's he used to tell me that the jawa goes reverse i used to tell him i think attending to many lectures and looking at girls you have become mad (you know college days joke and enjoy)it so happened after college we decided to go fer a movie on his jawa when we were leaving it was crowded at the college gate and a gril was behind us with a new scooty,he had to pay for the college parking when he was payingthe bike was in neutral,i told him come on pay him fast the show will start he said ok ok,when he put the first gear the bike went reverse and banged the new scooty and the girl fell down crying and complaining you broke my new scooty my god that time i was surprised how come the bike went reverse what the hell happened

But doc, why was it going reverse? I can understand timing has relation with heating, but reverse!!!

The piston gets thrown the wrong way during combustion. it happens on KB100 also, but this is the first time i heard it on a RX.
