Its not shrinking but growing. Only you'll see two strikers either busy with their own restoration or busy riding. That is the reason you see less of them here.
As such only place you'll find an oil tank gauge is in a junkyard. Try there.

I know people who said they are still available at plcaes (NOS) I have one in mine and its broken.

Oil tank gauges, that too new old stock is rarer than horns on a donkey. That is to say they are utterly unavailable. Believe me, my bike came with one too and I am doing everything humanly possible to keep it safe from spares vultures and keep it running.
Look in junkyards and at old used parts sellers in your area to find it. And even then your chances of finding one would be slim at best.
Sorry bro. But if you do find it, do tell me if there's more than one. I am also interested in acquiring one (you can never have too many spares)

Hi,

I am new to this thread, i planning to restore my RX 100. i want to know the following details.

1. Is there a mikuni carburetor for RX 100?
2. Local mechanics say there are imported clutch for 7000 (in chennai) which can increase the performance ?
3. what is the use of quick throttle? and it is really worth it
4. Is there something called brass core (muffler) for silencer
5. Brass bend pipe for exhaust (custom made in lathe) will produce good amount of beat (sound)?

Is there any other modifications you can suggestions for getting RX100 for race ready?

experts please help me...my bike is suffering from clutch bell malfunction,it make knocking noise when speeds@50kmph and above.
my mech did some rubber fixing and problem got temperory relief but started recently..
what should i do??the problem is very severe.
im not satisfied with the mech and one mech at trissur says he can solve the problem if bell assembly is given to him
since trissur is 87 kms away from my house,i want to remove the bell and transport it to trissur.
someone give me instructions to remove bell assembly...its very urgent

you posted in a wrong thread...you need clutch holding tool to remove it. No RX mech near your locality... !!

sorry for posting in wrong thread...somany mechanics are in cochin. i approached many to solve my problem,they did some lathe work on bell assembly fixing rubber or something like that..the problem disappears after the work and re appear after 500-700 kms running.
could you please say why the problem remains?what is a permanent solution?
today it became worst..very irritating...lost all the joy of riding
genuine bell assembly is not available in cochin..
where can i get it from?
please reply..help

one more important question...can i use rx100 bell in 135 someway??

Guys,I spoke to Mr.Boss in another forum regarding his 3rd RX Restoration and converting to Cafe' Racer.He told me that he needed a new frame as the Old ones were rusted very badly and he had no hope.So,I caught hold of the prices and New one will cost Rs.8000 and a Used one in good condition will cost Rs.3000.New ones are very hard to find but Used ones in Pudupet in Good condition is easy to find.Can someone tell me which is better ? and how to differentiate between original and duplicate frame ? Thanks

Aslah, you can find with pudupet side. But problem is how they seal speedometer. For that I would go for used/new one.

You'll find used from junkyard where they have removed from bike. Buy them with primary gear.
