@fistoffury - you are here for not even a month with 3 posts and you are already judging people?Originally posted by fistoffury View PostGood lord, even the engines are same. Actually both are Gladiators !!!
Dude, you should have never posted the pics. Nobody appreciates the kind of work that has been done on the bike. People are experts in leg pulling here..
FYI - I don't think there was anything wrong in asking if the pipes looks similar. The answer is either a yes or no.
And talking about appreciating other efforts well even Karthik here did comment on others capabilities and calculations. So please don't try to turn things ugly over simple questions or doubts.
We all love 2 strokes and each one of us like their bikes and built them the way we want them. So there might be someone who might not like your set up or ask questions if they have any doubts that's natural.
If you aren't ready for comments on your bikes then you should keep it to yourself.
Do not expect everyone to appreciate your bike. Some people will post if they don't like it or have questions so be prepared for it.
peace.RD 400

lovely bikes there kartik. but what surprises me the most is 2 diff setups, i.e 4 spd and 5 spd cylinders using the same pipes.
They both have very different power characteristics and yet the same design for expansion chamber? Even if the 4 spd is ported to 5 spd spec even then it would require a design much different to that of a 5 speed. So how come?
Good bikes nonetheless

No atul both the bikes share the 4s block hence same pipes
thats the standard design.

Hey Kartik which workshop / garage do set ur bikes up with in bangalore ?
Beautiful bikes btw . Yup once you go chambered u cant go back . Stock exhaust is too boring and all noise not much go . The sound of a chambered 2 stroke always catches my complete rapt attention like no other . Ok maybe a really hot naked blonde chick running down the road can compare . Since ur running 2 similar chambers on two different setups can u tell us what is the difference in power delivery and which setup do u like better in terms of usable and enjoyable POWER . Btw by how much did the Gladi setup set u back ? Flaties and Foam Pod Filters along with intake and reeds should be the next hop up parts that u should be looking at . U can also try dropping ur front , putting clip ons and rear sets for one of those beauts . Since u got TWO RX135s (!!) you can probably afford to convert one into a cafe' racer . They arnt too expensive in terms of cosmetics either .
The RD chamber and the RX chamber arnt similar . The RD pipe has a huge ass header . The shape is a little similar . End cans look similar too (?) . So maybe the welder / pipe fabricator is the same ? :P
Great bikes guys keep them comming .

Update
Some work again done on my Green 5-Speeder. There was some further work done on the barrel & the complete transmission (GB) was changed. Will be using this removed GB in my Black 4-speeder (5-speed project in on the cards for the black one).
Went out for a trial with my bro, & boy what a feeling. The gear to gear response was amazing. All the testing & cruising done with pillion (110Kg+). Did a Tumkur road to Mysore road (via NICE road) full blast doubles 125Kmph++. Again all the party was spoiled majorly due to lot of cross wind. To truely check the capabilities of a bike guess we need to do top speed run in a tunnel!!!
Of all the vehicles i own, my green 5-speeder is the fastest to reach 100Kmph, even my Esteem (rated @ 85BHP) doesn't stand a chance against this pickup.
I really owe this to my friend who has put in all this intellegence & effort to make this possible.

Trip to Mysore
Its been ages since i went to Mysore on a bike. Yesterday i had that opportunity, after some jetting & tuning took out my Green 5-Speeder for a urgent trip to Mysore. Here are some details of trip:
- Total distance (Source to Destination) = 161Kms
- Total travel time = 2Hrs 35Mins = 2.583 Hrs
- Break time: 10Mins for refueling at S'Patna & 5Mins T Break at Maddur = 10+5 = 15Mins = 0.25Hrs
- Actual Travel Time = 2.25 Hrs
- Average Speed = 161Kms/2.25Hrs = 71.55Kmph
- Mileage (Reserve to Reserve) = 147Km/6.6lts = 22.27Kmpl
This was definately not the fastest timing, but considering the fact that i left at 8:15AM, traffic was getting denser. But for sure had a blast on the Mysore-B'lore Highway.
The only bad thing was my new avenger speedo unit got conked when the needle crossed 120Kmph. Also the mileage has gone down by approx 4-5Kmpl, but there has been a good rise in the Top speed figures, which i am still not sure about the exact values.
All in all the bike simply performed to its best to put it in a nutshell.

Hey Guys thanks a lot for your kind words.
Well i am on my way to converting the 4-speed RX (Black one) to 5-Speed specs. Right now waiting for the 5-speed bore,Transmission (GB) & the clutch covers. Already things like the EC, Iridium Plugs, imported Clutch plates, RX-K con rod, 90/100Kit etc are in place. Once i have all the things in place i shall post the pics & the progress. The body work will remain a 4-speeder as of now & its only going to be engine mods & yes this bike will also not be a stock one, it will be fully blown setup.
Keep watching.
Thanks.Last edited by karthikdattag; 09-15-2010, 10:30 AM.
