Got a call on Saturday from my friend that my Bike is ready. Got excited like a kid & went to take the delivery. Following were the parts changed in the bike:

                1. “4Y200” Cylinder Kit Rebored to 1st Oversize with “4Y201-ART” Piton Kit along with Sand-Blasting & Porting. The expected gain at crank is around 22BHP.

                2. “4Y2” Series Head Assembly Painted.

                3. Chain Guard sent for repaint job as it came with the bike in 2002 & wanted to retain it at any cost.

                4. Fresh Set of RX-King Friction Plates (6 Nos).

                5. 700ml Shell Fully Synthetic 4T Oil for GB.

                6. Rear Number Plate Changed as old one had some cracks.

So I took the delivery of the bike without the Carburettor & Expansion Chamber Upgrade as I believed it would be better if the bike finishes its run-in period (planning upto 1500Kms). Here is my first ride impression after I completed a successful 30Kms run to my office:

                1. There is a good amount of Low-End Grunt available even though the power is at a higher side. Thanks to a completely different port geometry of RX-King Cylinder.

                2. Did not cross 60Kmph during my Highway ride & the bike feels very good even at such low revs. I can shift to 5th Gear even at speeds as low as 40Kmph without any Knocking sound. This was not at all possible on my stage-3 modified 4-speed Cylinder.

                3. There is absolutely no missing sound which was a constant menace due to the use of crappy TKR Piston in my old setup. Am in love with this ART piston. Trust me on this, nothing can come close to the “ART” piston performance.

                4. Gear Shifts are brilliant as before, very smooth & no slippage.

                5. No over-heating funda in the bike. Heck we don’t encounter this on any of our builds. Call it a quality build & workmanship or sheer luck!!!

Once I complete the run-in period I will get the TM24 & Under-Bone Expansion Chamber fixed. Then with the right jetting & sproketing I will be able to fully realize the 22BHP of raw power!!!!!

Have never been this happy in my life concerning bikes.

                Cheers.

Note: As with any build, there are lot of expectations. Since this one was a modified build, i would be more than happy if could do 130Kmph on a Speed Gun within quarter mile. I dont want to have tall claims like other guys who claim their bikes do 160Kmph, am being very humble & practical in my claims. My dream is to do true 140Kmph within a Km of distance & with an engine life of 20,000Kms. Lets see if i achieve this.
Nice Build Dude. 22 BHP???. Would love to ride your bike .....

Especially the Monograms on Matte finish paint job, looks killer...

Any reason why the stinger isn't in Polished SS??

If we were to be using an SS Stinger, then for sure it would have been chrome plated. Reason for choosing Al over SS is because of the Sound Quality.
If it is sound quality that matters, then it should be bronze right Karthik? Asking because, I've seen hell a lot of RX's with In built EC's in pure Bronze and trust me the sound is just orgasmic...

I'll see if i can find some pictures of the same Karthik.

Asking about Bronze, ever wondered why the Trumpets are always made of Bronze? Simplest reason being the Tonal quality in bronze is better than any other metal. In a weeks time I'll get hold of two built in EC's one in Bronze & the other in MS, let me see the differences and revert back...

                        • Karthik, congrats on the rebuild. Bike looks stunning. With all the ingredients gone inside, it should make one hell alot of fun twisting the throttle. Those RX-K clutchside covers should have the RPM cable inlet provision, wondering why you have not gone for RXZ-like meter setup or even RX-K speedo console. The Monogram, clutch covers, tank badge all look great. EC looks great, apart from appreciating the looks, i reserve my comments here (you know the reason well). Got TM24 in it? (sorry, if I had missed to read earlier).

Karthik, AFAIK this isn't FS, typically used for Yammie's 2 Stroke Speed boats. Or is it FS by any chance?

                              • Karthik, lovely stuff there. Are these Mikuni TM series comes with 2T oil inlet? As far as I know, these are high performance flat slide carbs and we need to pre-mix in petrol tank. Infact, Aargee has TM28 Mikuni carb and it did not have oil inlet.
