I've heard people saying that 36L00 bores which are available suspected to be a China make and their ports were not in right place. Is that true?
G series bores is what seniors say the best one can get.
I did not change the coil plate. I changed following parts:-

    1.RR Unit
    2.Wiring Assembly
    3.Flasher
    4.Battery
    5.Indicator bulbs

I am not sure my technician has re-wound the coil either. It has been two years now and my memory isn't that great, especially when things are working fine

I didn't know G series are unavailable now. Yup, I've read here that few Yam dealers are passing off these fake Chinese kits as genuine. But I think Alok Baleskar has clarified this point. There is genuine bore kit available for 100 atleast in Mumbai Factory Shop? Maybe Alok can comment on this.

Heard from a reliable source that all RX spares currently supplied by the company will be stopped in a year.

G series bores as far as I'm hearing is not available. Some stockists might be having some old units left with him. The new ones are available even here with Yamaha dealer but little apprehensive on their authenticity.

RX spares took some time to appear on dealers shelves. It was just hardly 6 months they were seen and now hearing the bad news. oh God!

Let me dumb it down for you I hope this time your thick skull will let some stuff sink through. China block not bored properly ok? Rebore to first OS after that set the ports right if liner has casting flaws slap yourself a couple of times for not looking or just go buy an I-1 series bore at the price of 4-5 china bores I think. Comprende? Not? Go to kitchen grab some water on your head come back start all over again kthx bai take a chill pill I was just kidding but basically that's how you set it right, if the exhaust duration is not right well you'll have to take a vernier with you next time but it'll still work.

And how do you remove the casting flaws from the liner?

Both lol casting flaws can't be removed that's why I wrote "slap yourself a couple of times for not looking" besides the casting flaws and the port duration everything else "can" be set right

Hmm.. your style of writing can be confusing sometimes..

Casting flaws can be removed. I have compared the new RX100 barrel with my old stock new RX135 barrel. I'd say the quality matches. New liner and the casting materiel might even be a little better in fact as newer methods and better developed materials are used!
Yamaha do have some level of Q.C so things like port height would actually be correct.

                        • One must know the inlet and exhaust port timings to set the erroneous bore right, or at least a physical port dimensions and their relative positions ....otherwise the exercise to correct the ports will waste the bore...Request members with knowledge and detail to post a drawing which will help everyone in the thread...

lol aite point taken what I wanted to say was you can correct the china bore to work just like the bores Yamaha makes, the liner metallurgy is more or less the same, they don't cease up that easily so I guess it's good but the only grime is the exhaust port duration on some of these bores is not right. Right as in it is more as compared to the stock bore so if you're looking for one it is better if you take a pair of verniers with you. Don't forget the transfers while you're at it!!!

EDIT: It will take time but awesome project for holidays I'd say :P

Thanks for sharing...longer port duration mean early port opening, ..this may give good acceleration but poor FE...you may have to do away with bore bottom gasket depending on inlet port timing..
Do keep the thread updated after doing well in your Exams.
                                Wish you Good luck.
