I have ridden plenty of Shoguns till date, but this 100 is way ahead in terms of performance. The Gun might do 110Kmph, but i quite dint like the way it gets there. Sorry, no offence to Suzuki 2T guys.

Sriram, if are reading this, i would definately want you to pick an 100. Few pics i took when i arrived to office.

      Here are some brief points:
      1. 0-100Kmph accelaration is almost instant. There was no sluggish behaviour in any gear.
      2. Gearbox was butter smooth.
      3. Exhaust note: Simply orgasmic.
      4. Vibes: Coudn't feel any even at speedo figures of 115Kmph++.

An RX100 neatly maintained, is still capable of putting to shame most of the 125cc & 150cc 4Ts available in market (R15 excluded for obiviuos reasons ).

I would say if you have the time, energy & Vitamin M, then buy this beauty & restore it to stock.
I doubt the part I've highlighted in bold. I got both 100 & 135 4s in stock trims. 0-60, 135 felt way quicker. I admit I still haven't ridden 135 much (lying in dad's office) but from whatever little I've rode, 135 4S is quicker.
+ the ad posted in Frank's thread says, 100 takes 7.5 secs to do 0-60 and this is in Gladiator's league. I doubt 135 would take longer than a Gladiator to accelerate!

I agree with all other points though. My 100 does only a speedo indicated 100 and while doing so it is absolutely smooth. Doesn't hit a wall like 135 does.

Initially i wasn't expecting any fireworks as i ride a stage 3+ modified 135s.

Went to shell bunk filled the gas for Rs.200/- with 3% oil mix & off i went. The last time i rode an 100 was back in 1998!!!!! Yes, that was 13Yrs ago. Like a teenage kid, whacked open the throttle & beautiful exhaust note came along. Sooper smooth gears, refined engine & that kick of powerband opening. It was all too much for me. More of icing on the cake.

IMHO, a stock RX100 will easily beat a stock RX135 4-Speed. With the speedo flashing over 115Kmph, i feel the true speeds would be 100 ~ 105Kmph. It indeed was a pocket rocket. Really i couldn't believe that a 100cc motor can deliver this kind of punch. The only other bike able to do this is the 135 5-speed (in stock trim).

Believe it or not, I've been suffering from RX100 deficiency for sometime. Reading your post only making me suffering complicated. Just kidding.

Even finding parts is much less trouble than finding bike with clear papers.

Nitin and Karthik - 135 has got an edge over 100 in the top end if I'm not wrong. Otherwise would say 100 is also a fun bike to ride in the city.

              • @Karthik/Natraj :- Bike looks beautiful. Wonderful restoration. I'm sure it is going to eyecatching on the road. Btw, the silencer looks new. Was that chromed the existing or a brand new one? (@Karthik:- I know you should be laughing reading this question)

Thanks for the info. Was there any difference in exhaust note when compared to original which came with the bike? Sorry for being a bug on this.

                    • When i was at my tuner's place last week saw this beautiful bike parked & being worked on. On closer inspection it was KB 4S champion.

I was like, who rebuilds these? But the paint quality & the overall look was simply stunning. I almost forgot this was a 4-stroke. Drooling indeed.

                      Some pics attached.

Paint job was done by Mauli Sahab, B'lore.

You can always buy a new 135 exhuast & replace the Muffler (Silencer) inside with that of 100. There are many guys here in B'lore who have done this mod job. FYI, 100 muffler is pretty much available in company packing.
Thanks for the feedback Karthik. I'm already taking notes on these information.

The restoration process looks good. Though I would not know Mauli Sahab, however, his work is being recognized through this forum. Paint job looks like a factory finish.
