              • Karthik, splendid! Your sheer crave for experimenting and enhancement have always kept the 2 stroke enthusiasts like me still hanging on today's 4stroke era.
Well, You have almost touched every on RX series and even have the big brother RD in pipeline. I would always wonder why RX100 had not been in your talks at all. Well, I would guess it is personal choice so keep wondering..

I know you are not a big showcaser of prized possession, even if you don't, doesn't bring down any.

The thing with RX100 is, by the time i wanted to buy a performance 2-stroke (1st hand) the only available option was
                  1. RX135 4-Speed
                  2. RX135 5-Speed
                  3. RX-Z 5-Speed
Ha! It reminds me of same when I went through. I wanted to buy 100 in 1995 (was told by my parents to complete UG). That was all ! 1996 100 stopped then came RXG and gone, then it was 1998 I got my hands on 135. However, still lingering on with my childhood dream so resisting temptation to start a 100 project.

P.S: I know where to find you in Chennai.
I've been looking out for a decent bike in the market. Gosh! 100's market price is always hyped. I've done some ground work and found it is possible to get almost all parts for 100 unlike 135. Inspite of that people think 100 is like a land, and they want 2-3 times appreciation. Insane!

Selling my first bike? No Karthik, 135 shares a long history of good, happy, bad and worst times from 1998. Right from PG till date.

                    • Hi Sriram,

it not too late to make your dream come true about Rx100. you can get almost every spares for Rx100 except bore kit for decent price. my rough picture about rx100 would be with genuine papers around 8-15k max.

If you want make her to stock condition choose some comsetically very bad conditioned Rx100 (head light broken, indicators, tail light, paint ,dents on fuel tank bad tire, rusted wheel rims etc..) but with good engine (by oversight frame crank case) because you can negotiate with owner pointing cosmetic condition.

while restoring to stock condition you dont actually need above said parts or not worthy to use to bring up showroom look. that what i felt while restoring my bike.
at chennai approx you can restore with good OE parts for 25 k excluding bike price.

Beast wishes for you Rx100 search..

I am more than happy to have these results, as the idea of this build was to beat my Green 5-Speeder, which i have been able to do by good 5Kmph margin. The sheer greatness of this rebuild is use of stock (OE) parts for most parts. Any B'lorean wanting to check out my bike, please feel free to drop in.

And here are the top speed figures of my Esteem which recently got an custom FFE done by Shabbir & General Tune-Up (Clutch change, flywheel change, Engine Oil [used fully synthetic]) by GT Tuners.

1st : 40Kmph (Dint feel like pushing any further)
                        2nd : 100Kmph
                        3rd : 140~143 Kmph
4th : 150Kmph (The road just got over)
                        5th : xxx

And now for the top speed figures of my Humble daily ride HH Splendor Classic:

                        1st : 20Kmph
                        2nd : 50Kmph
                        3rd : 70Kmph
                        4th : 95~100 Kmph

On my Splendor i am easliy able to beat bikes like Suzuki Samurai, CT100, heck even Discvr125s & sometimes even P150s. All these guys are like, WTF!!!!!!! My Splendor is in absolute stock condition, i have tested the latest Spelndor+ & even Super-splendors, i dont feel they are this quick. Now for guys under the impression that all these are analog speedo values, think twice, i have beaten P150s & FZs reading 80~85Kmph, for sure my speeds have to be more than 90~95Kmph even on digi speedos!!!

I am quite happy with my stable now. Scooty is anyway up for build & will very soon take up my RD350 project.

P.S: All the testing was done at NH4.
Hi Karthik have you ever ride Yamaha RX115 it has 15.5ps at8500 Rpm i have a rx115 in good condtion engine is sealed and i have achieve 155kmph on my bike without alteration.

You really want me to believe that a bored out RX100 with 15.x BHP @ crank does 155Kmph?

                          Seriously?

Please check the top speed with a radar gun & revert. My bike's true top speed will be in the range of 125~130Kmph, i am yet to tap in on a gun, once i do it will post result.

I dont want to start any arguments here, so lets debate in more technical way.

                          Cheers.
i too dont wanna start any arguments but have you ever ride a RX135 (4Y2) or RXZ 6 speed (Malay model) my 3 friends have RXZ (Malay model) and our group has RX115 and RX135 (4Y2) for speed check youtube, you will believe that RX115 does 130kmph in 4th gear

check this link new RXS is available with 16ps at 8500rpm.

+1. And the fact that there were no model changes from 86 to 96 (except 6v to 12v ofcourse) makes it lot easier while hunting for spares.

Can you let me know what changes are needed if the bike needs to be converted to 12v? I know coil plate would need to be changed, apart from that I'm still gathering information so that I know what it takes.
