Back in the 80's we used to get a thicker one from Singapore for up grading .
The Engine and parts look fresh as though they had just come from the factory...Good work.

I had plans to fit the VM26 (used in RX-K & RX-Z 6-Speed), but my guy doesn't have any stock as of now, hence original 4-speed carb was opted. I am satisfied with the performance, maybe to 90% level and hence we are on plans of using a VM28 or VM26 in future.

The bike does around 100Kmph on speedo in 3rd gear, this is all i could test. The bike sure feels very fast, only thing holding back is the carb & the 16" wheel at the rear. Am hoping i will correct these someday.
If you are thinking of Bigger Carb for better performance, please take care of venturi velocity which determines the performance.100 Kmph in 3rd gear is quite acceptable performance increase, and don't think much can be done more than this..VM22 is now giving you the near correct venturi velocity and VM 26 might have poor initial and ,only high end will benefit.Try fiber Reed valves, they are better at higher RPMs.

Yezdi CL2 + Yamaha YBX in exchange for a RX

        Guys

Am planning to give off my Yezdi CL2 and Yamaha YBX in exchange for a well kept RX 100 / G 5 speed / RXZ

CL2 - On papers its still single owner, I have not done a Transfer..Model - 1989, FC not done, insurance not paid, vehicle is in good running condition, had been using till the time i moved to chennai and now my dad just starts and keeps once in a while, I had spent almost 20k and got all original spares from Mysore to restore it. have attached snaps...its currently in Coimbatore.

YBX - This is used by a elderly person and never gone beyond 50kms speed, again this is single owner, transfer not done...Model - 2000, Papers are current, Insurance till 10/2011, life tax, both the tyres are newthis is in Chennai

Anybody interested for exchange for a Roadking or a rx 100 / g 5 Speed / rxz if its in really good condition with all current papers.

        How is the deal?

Finding well kept RX is itself very difficult, moreover, someone interested to part away good maintained RX would be even more hard to find. All the best for your hunt !

@Karthik: How is that your bike happen to take small jets as low as 160, where as the stock comes in at 165 main for 4 speed carb?

Thats the beauty with porting, dont mistake it with running lean. Let me give a small hint, why is it that a 5-speed barrel needs main jet size = 135, even though it comes with 14BHP?

Will discuss in detail, lets talk in evening.

Frankly speaking doc, i am not a big fan of RX-Z, but its my brothers first love, the white colour 1998-1999 RX-Z design. He keeps pestering me to go for it.

I will seriously look into this once i am back. These spares just arrived 3 days back out of blue.
