In variably, their route map depicted the shorter route. It was just a correction/clarification that we will be bypassing Poopara on NH 49.

Should the shorter route be adventurous, nothing like it.

    Bigger/longer/Harder route=> nothing else matters.

    • For All the Members who are in for this Ride :

Since its a long ride, so there are certain items that we should have/Remember before we start it on Friday.

      1. Proper Riding Gears.

      2. Properly maintained Bike/ Bike Documents.( If there are any niggles here and there, better to check it out since there are 2 more days to go)

      3. Water Bottles and Energy Drinks(Gatorade). ( if you can add glucose/Electoral powder in water, it will be better)

      4. Some medicines ( Painkillers,stomach upset tablets,antibiotics,Bandage,savlon. etc )

      5. Some Light Snacks ( Chocolates,Lays, etc )

      6. Tyre Puncture Kits( for Tubeless Tyres) and extra tubes for Tube Tyres)

      7. Clothes. ( As per Requirement )

      8. Enough Money so that there is no chakkar of going/finding ATM again and Again.(~ 1400(mandatory as per Praful) + Petrol(own expense) + Miscellaneous)

      9. Spare Key. ( A must )

      10. Spare visor if possible

      11. Spare Fuse's [Very Imp if you have a FI bike]

      12. If you are wearing shoes with laces, tuck the laces inside the boots. Shoelaces can get entangled into the gear lever or brake lever
      leading to a disaster.

      13. Chewing gum helps in staying awake too.

      14. Carry a can of chain lube (for bikes with open chains), coolant for the engine if needed.

Very Important : Avoid alcohol the night before the ride.

There might be few things which I may have forgotten, So Please add any other items which you think is necessary/mandatory.

        Thanks for that info.

        • Thank you Prashant for the cumulative list of items to carry!

I would not suggest Redbull though, IMHO it does more harm than good!

EDIT: Add a few items to your list like

          - Spare Key
          - Basic Tools and Spare
          - Puncture repair kit
          - First Aid Kit if possible
          - Spare visor if possible
          - Spare Fuse's [Very Imp if you have a FI bike]

I would suggest Electral or GluconD instead of redbull.... Redbull will merely keep you awake and possibly alert but will not rehydrate you.

This is the perfect solution. I always carry a bottle of this 'cocktail' and one bottle of fresh water on all long rides!

Empty on packet of Electral and half a packet of the smallest gluconD in to 1L water bottle. Can go on riding on this concoction without even having meals too

That seems a good idea ! Also, Gatorade seems good too, I mean, ready to go. Also yesterday I saw Glucon-D energy drink in a store
                  Peace \m/

                            • Is there a torch in this list? If not, please add a torch to this list. Preferably and LED torch.

Does any one have an air pump (manual or electric)? I have an electric pump which I'll bring to the ride, but will be good to have a backup.
                              Cheers,
