Same here! I did it in a big powerful SUV with great suspension and even then I found it tiring and stressful!

I doubt it - If I was struggling with the bad roads even though I had the size, power and traction to "bully" my way past some obstinate trucks and buses - then I don't think our bikes could do much better.

The internal roads may not have much traffic and will be safer but again, bad roads and narrow, twisty stretches will be difficult for first timers not used to Kerala's peculiar roads. The 'home-boys' and some of us who have experienced it before would be fine but a lot of the 'out-of-towners' would find it difficult.

Do not underestimate the power of bikers riding in a group . You should've seen & had the feeling of Govt bus yielding way to 18 odd bikers last year. Most cars slowed down for us to switch lanes to overtake us.

The GROUP will overcome everything . Ask the TVM guys who made it last year. It was too bad that Chennai & Bangy guys missed all the fun!!!

Did you guys tried it after classifying the groups as hyper speed, speed, slow, ultra slow, blah blah blah.....?

Are you trying to scare us????
Anyways, how to handle such conditions? Any pointers? Or will it be the case of "necessity is the mother of creation"???

Just 4 days left to vote for the date guys!!!

Had some free time yesterday, so the registration form is ready Will unleash it once the poll is closed

About riding how, where to, what time, etc lets wait for the date and number and we'll accordingly decide!

For the Bangalore-Chennai guys syncing up, I think that will only be possible at Dindigul. Unless we plan to take the Udumalpettai route and sync up with them around Krishnagiri, then the Chennai needs to travel only about 40kms extra! But if its the Theni-Bodi route then we can only meet at Dindigul since they will be coming through Trichy.

Wonder why no one is suggesting Bangalore-Mysore-ooty-Metupalayam-Coimbatore???????? New timers would doze off on the (previously)suggested route

Another possibility is to meet at Krishnagiri & ride the Pollachi route OR meet at Karur instead of Dindigul. IMO, we don't need to touch Dindigul unless we head towards Kodai. Since Munnar is behind Ooty, CBE would be nearer. Correct me, if I'm wrong on the route.

Once again CBE team will have less distance to cover like last time, unless they want to join with Bangy group & ride to Karur, which IMO, is very long & have to ride for the sake of long ride.

Whatever said, I prefer riding in a huge group CBE+Bangy+Chennai & it would be great fun to ride in huge organized group ride

That's round about way for Chennai guys to come all way upto Mysore & Ooty when we could simply take the Ooty via CBE.

Because the when we are in a large group doing this route will take a shitload of time. When in larger numbers its best to take the easier route at hand!

@karthiktup: The Dindigul route is 50 kms extra for the Bangalore gang compared to the Udumalaipettai route. For the Coimby gang its best that they stick to the route through Chinnar, unless they are wanting to ride more, they can meet us at Dindigul.

@aargee: Karur or Dindigul, we anyways have to take the Dindigul bypass in order to reach Theni. As mentioned before, the Coimby gang would be doing the Comiby-Pollachi-Udumalaipettai-Munnar route. Unless they are in the mood to ride a bit more, they can ride ahead from Udumalaipettai and meet us at Dindigul via Palani.

I guess that adds another 200-250km(or shall I say 5 hours??) of extra ride for the CBE/tirupur fellas!!!!

It adds 120 Kms. ( Max 2.5 Hrs) so total Distance to munnar is 290 Kms, which is not a big deal
