Thank you Mik.The Chakrata and Mussorie route is in overall OK condition, some bad patches and some Ok tarmac. But the roads are very lonelyOriginally posted by Mik View PostA good start with some really nice pics.
A bit perplexed by the offroad section you encountered. I did this route three years back from Chakrata to Mussoorie and roads were good(relatively speaking) throughout but yes, lots and lots of diversions. My thumb rule was that the better road must be the right one.
Thank you JayOriginally posted by Jayakrishna View PostSuperb Biru....waiting for the rest

Thank You buddy, will reveal the bike problem in the 6th day log.Originally posted by princesirohi View PostSUPERB ride and amazing pics..... btw, what was the problem with your bike, what happened... what was wrong..??
Thanks Jhon,CBR performed quite well except some hiccups in last few days. But that was the first time in 35K kms..my bike gave me some trouble.Overall CBR is a winner in that price range and serves my purpose with enough power which is required in Indian highways to stay aliveOriginally posted by jhonmathews View PostBrilliant pictures. Congratulations to you. Will try and make it someday.
By the way, how did the CBR perform overall? Any issues a prospective buyer must know about?
THanks Buddy,I had no idea that we have active members from Haldwani.Good to see you here,we will meet someday for sureOriginally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostDuhh.....Balaji Honda here are better not to be visited. The most corrupt service centre guys around Haldwani :/

Day 2 - Chakrata - Lakhamandal - Barkot - Dharasu Bend - Uttarkashi
The other night, that local guy who helped me on finding the accommodation..suggested me to go Lokhandi as there are very good views enroute and there is plenty of ice in Lokhandi. This much information was enough to drag me towards Lokhandi.I woke up bit late by 08:00 AM and had already missed the sunrise for which i had taken the Window side 4 bed Condo
.
Second building on the left is the place where i settled for the night

I packed my stuff and said thank you to Mr Negi(Owner of the Home Stay) for such clean, cheap and nice accommodation. While i started from Chakrata,i noticed that i have half tank fuel left.I inquired with the local public around on the availability of Petrol pump in Chakrata or on the Lakhamandal route which i had to take to reach Uttarkashi. But there wasn't any fuel pump available in Chakrata and on the route i was heading.Petrol was available in black in Chakrata market,at that time no shop was open..so i had to wait for a while to get the fuel.Bought 4 litres at the rate of 85 Rs/ltr,pretty decent rate for a remote place
Narrow streets of Chakrata,Waiting for the Petrol Guy to come

Lovely views from Chakrata

I fueled up and headed to Lokhandi. That local guy was damn right about the majestic views

But i was disappointed with the second information he provided about ice,Lokhandi was all dry and there was no sign of ICE :/.I returned to Chakrata and started towards Lakhamandal.
6-7 Kms before Lakhamandal

To Be Contd
Cheers
Biru

That's great. Thanks. I'll be eagerly waiting for more. Specially how the CBR gave you trouble(Don't mean to spoil the fun). And brilliant pictures once again.
