Read the whole blog. Very beautifull narration. Opening up your personal side on Public Forum is never easy.
But the way you have done it is really classy and poetic.
All I can say is a very beautifull log and narration.
My Best wishes. I hope you get the love of your life.
I live in Delhi, and I am very good in convincing. Let me know if my services are required to convince her parents. I have done this before.

Sniff sniff..... So many bikers sobbing, reminds me of that movie of The Rock where he's a rugby teams captain and is playing the role of a tree in his daughter's school play. The rest of the players watching the play start crying in the end.. Tough guys can cry too.__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _______

What top speed did you touch ??
Because I love

The Ride:
Mumbai to Delhi: Stay in Udaipur for a night, and then start again the next morning towards Delhi
Delhi stay:Because, I love youDelhi to Mumbai: 2 days of riding with a night stay at the mid-point, i.e. Udaipur and the ride to Mumbai the next morning.
The Bike:
KTM Duke: Flawless bike, one of the best I have ever seen. It performs and then performs without any shudder. And the worst mentor, that is me. I was constantly riding my bike at speeds in excess of 100-110. Rarely did I come down at sane speeds and my bike kept performing flawlessly and never complained!
No problems encountered, not even a single puncture or any engine stopping due to overheating. The rate at which bike was getting heated was the same rate it was being cooled down and temperature was always in controllable limits.
Kms Covered: 3150.
Time taken: Because I love U
Because I love U: (part 1)
Day 1 of riding: Mumbai to Udaipur.
Because I love U: Part 2
Day 2 of riding: Udaipur to Delhi.
Because I love U: Part 3... Love Lived Insanity
Day 3 of riding: Delhi to Udaipur.
Because I love U: (part 4)
Day 4... Dodo the holy cow... Page 18...
Re: Because I Love U... Part 4... DODO, the Holy Cow... Page 18
bhai jaan. I doff my hat to the impulsive decision(it must have been) of riding to Delhi from Mumbai. The best road trips happen when you don't plan at all. Ask me! Although it didn't turn out well for you, you should feel good about yourself that you tried your best to make it work.
I have had my fair share of ups and downs in relationships, but frankly the reason that " I don't want to hurt my parents" is never going to wash with me. I do not know your girl for sure(even you!), but seriously, if her dad is not a member of some stupid 'khap panchayat',(if he is then a union like yours could met with a very serious punishment) then I don't see any reason not to make it work.
I have seen numerous cases where parents would cry like babies when confronted with a prospect of having to see their doughter/son(mostly daughter) getting married into another caste/religion. If the son/daughter still goes ahead, they might be estranged for a while but they'll eventually relent, surely. If not sooner then atleast after they become grandparents. The pull of playing with a grandkid is such you know!!
Although life moves on, but I'd still say this is not trying hard.
Btw I am planning a ride to Delhi this July, around 9th. Would it be a good idea in the rains? And where exactly you'd recommend a stay in between ?The hero always RIDES into the sunset!

Doga, long time bro, where have u been,
(I assume that you are going to use your Duke for doing this Trip. )
Anyways... here are the answers.
No, it wont' be a good idea in the rains to do Mumbai to Delhi.
Why:
Mumbai to Delhi highway is all very smooth and fast. You would be running at a continous speed of 90 or 100 above. Infact, I am not exaggerating If I say that you can hold your speed above 110-120 on this highway for longer durations, and you seriously feel the need of having atleast a 600cc machine for the kind of highway it is.
Now, with Duke tyres it won't be possible for you to maintain 110 kmph in rains.
And you would be forced to do a max. speed of 70kmph, when it would be raining or roads are wet. But the cars and SUVs around you would be going fast at 130-140kmph or maybe 180kmph at times(near bhilwara).
Riding on the same track as them with a slow speed of 70kmph on a duke will become very hectic and is very Risky at the same time. You wont' enjoy the trip.
Then comes the point of smashing slush. I am sure you must have encountered it in Mumbai also when some car crosses you at a decent speed and loads of slush comes flying upon you. Imagine that happening every now and then on a highway when you have to ride "whole day long".
Now monsoons have striked whole of the nation.
So, as per me this trip is not recommended by me atleast during Rains. Do it a little later when rains are not around and you will enjoy the empty flowing roads and fast speeds.
(see pics for more info)
The tyres that Duke is having are not as good as that of R15v2 for wet roads riding. You don't feel that good confidence while doing high speeds. (I am saying this on my personal experience of ownership of both the bikes.)
Duke uses MRF Revz C
R15v2 uses MRF Revz S. (S denotes soft compound, maybe this provides lots of grip.
Stay In Between:
If you cover around 800-850kms in a single day then stay at Udaipur.
But due to rains if you cover 500-600kms in a day then take first stop at Ahmedabad and then at Ajmer or Jaipur and then start towards Delhi.
(here stop means whole night stop, and not a tea or pee break
Highway from Jaipur to Delhi is all broken patch. It would be very tuff riding this part of the journey. So go towards Agra and take a bypass towards Delhi. This highway is again butter smooth. It will add up some 100kms to your journey but will save lots of time
~

I was running at 110-120kmph for most of the time. During overtaking other vehicles I used to drop my speed to 80-90(as and when required).
The top speed I touched was 138-139kmph (as shown by ODO).

Wish there was a happy ending. Or maybe picture abhi baaki hai. In any case that gal really lost(wish she wont) something very precious.
Read the whole write up in one go despite having a tight schedule for the day in office.

Re: Because I Love U... Part 4... DODO, the Holy Cow... Page 18
Anikit - I read your first post & then avoided reading further & kept distance even when my heart wanted to read it.
The reason being that I had a break- up just around the same time..
& somehow i had this intuitive feeling that your story ends on a sad note(Much to my disappointment, those intuitions were proved right).
Today i just couldn't resist it & man.. what a great write-up!!! I am already a fan of your's, wish to meet you someday.
I had an ANGEL in my life who left me
& even i was set on a unplanned ride to meet her(950kms away) but after 200 kms my bike(for the first time) left my side, it broke up & i had to take a bus.
Anyway's enough of my love story, Your log is simply awesome & the pics are great, no words to describe mate.. i wish i could read more of that & i wish i could see more pics (with you both back to mumbai together on the Duke).
Keep it up buddy, keep the rides going.. Let the love flourish in both of your hearts. The thing i liked about your love story is that you both parted for the love for parents & not because of some third person walking into either of your lives.
"IF TWO PAST LOVERS CAN REMAIN BEST FRIENDS, ITS EITHER THEY ARE STILL IN LOVE............................................ OR NEVER WERE!!"
In your case buddy, its truly an everlasting love.
Dunno why..?? But i am hoping so crazily that she becomes your ride partner for the rest of your life.
Sorry for the long post, but i just loved the "I'll narrate my heart..... Let the pics narrate the ride....." part
Hats Off to you Mate..!!!!!!
