Triplog Approved
Loved the pics and had approved it the last time.
I think I accidentally clicked on delete instead of approve. My fault completely. Apologies and thanks for posting again
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Thank you very much for the approval
A Small Intro for my passion to Motorbikes
I was born and brought up in Coimbatore a city in Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore is an Industrial town with lots of textile mills. Its also popular for motorsports.
When I was 5 or 6 years old, an Uncle of mine Mr.Selvaraj used to participate in SCISSORS ACTION RALLY in coimbatore. We used to send him off, when he come to the flag off ramp. I still remember, I used to cry to my grand mother, that i would like to go with him. Its still an evergreen memory which inspired my interest for motorbikes. He is the real hero, who planted the seed for the interest towards Motorbikes.
few pictures of him in SCISSORS ACTION RALLY.
( I got the permission from my cousin to use it for blogging and for my webpage)Last edited by indiangypsy; 09-17-2013, 03:52 PM.

Re: Absolute No Plans - A Ride in Unexplored Europe
Inspiration for travelling
In my teen age times, I was too much fascinated by the communist ideologies, In India whenever there is a communist meeting, it captures my attention. But I haven't attended any of them though. ( I liked communism as an ideology not a political party ) While I was walking by, I saw few posters of a communist meeting. Normally there will be pictures of Marx, Angels , Lenin , Stalin and so on. But on that day i looked at poster, who looked like a Hollywood star with a style. I was so curious to know about him. On those days Internet was not much common. Books are the only source for information. After one month, i found his name and it took another one month to pronounce it.
He is Ernesto Guevara.
By reading more and more about him, I came across his Motorcycle Diaries.

Inspiration For Travelling
After leaving India, a friend of mine in Africa suggested a book about Ted Simon's Jupiter's Travel. It was a good travel book to read.

Past Rides

With a Royal Enfield Thunderbird in India

With a Yamaha XJR 1200 in swiss , austria & Italy.Last edited by indiangypsy; 09-19-2013, 01:18 PM.

THE BIKE
I had two options, when I decided to go for an Enduro
1. BMW R 1200 GS
2. KTM 990 Adventure
After a test ride, I decided to go for KTM 990 Adventure
I loved riding the bike, But it do have its Pro and Cons. I will post the Cons at the end of the Blog. As of now Its only PRO's

Re: Absolute No Plans - A Ride in Unexplored Europe
The Day to Start
Going through a dark period in life
I started this travel again with a Motorbike. I decided spontaneously and as I mentioned earlier. I had no plans the day I started I wanted to go to Pisa in Italy. As I rode almost all the Alpine passes in Swiss last year, I didn’t want to spend more time riding in Switzerland. I took the highway from Zurich to chiasso, the last town in Swiss with border to Italy. On the way I stopped near Altdorf by a beautiful lake in between the Alps, I took some bread and few snacks with me. I took the break for my breakfast.
