  • [Photo Feature]: Planned, Unplanned and then Re-Planned

Multiple plans happened, multiple plans scrapped, multiple riders cancelled, multiple riders surprised, but finally the ride did happen, not the way it was planned but bottom-line: it happened

The plan was simple, I ride down to Bangalore, rest, regroup with the rest of the gang, ride out, finish the ride and I ride back home.

Shall be writing the log only for my journey from Bangalore with the group from start to end.

    Initially planned route:

woohoo..way to go @snehithpereira (Alias Snehith referred to as "Mr. Po" here on)..even this tlog is up! so its like one of my eyes will be in this log and the other eye would be glued to the "ja..karna" one by the way just like moderator sahab me was kanfused as well by seeling the alias and a.k.a and all (thought a little kanfused because these are mostly the nick names we use in our group) . Pictures are as usual awesome and I am expecting some crisp and to the point narration .

Re: Planned, Unplanned and then Re-Planned

                Prologue:

It had been over a month that I had even sat on my bike and I was desperate to ride, so much so that I had decided to get out coming weekend and just ride until I was too tired to ride anymore, that got to quench my thirst. Not a moment longer that this thought had passed my mind, Suvra pinged about a ride to windmills on the 2nd of March, was super excited and agreed in no time, I said I don’t care where the destination is but I shall be there.

This plan however got quashed due to other commitments by others and also Suvra had to go get his implants :P (also he did his windmill ride earlier itself)

@sauban suggested how about we ride to Ooty instead and the very thought of the curvy forested roads made everyone else agree. But plans always have a wonderful way of getting ruined for no fault of anybody and that’s exactly what happened here. Almost all had to drop out of the ride due to some reason or the other. I was upset as I was going to meet everbody after a long time but was more upset that maybe I wouldn't be riding even this weekend after all. After a little bit of downtime, decided that I would be riding anyways

In the meantime, Pratik confirmed that he shall be riding too. I was happy again and in the meantime the plan got changed to do Bangalore-Ooty-Avalanche-Wayanad-Bangalore.
Mr. Tapabrata confirmed his participation too. In all honesty at this point I was a little skeptical and worried too as this would be the first time that I was riding with PG as well as Tapabrata, reconfirmed with them, pushed all my apprehension aside and looked forward to the ride

Two days before the ride Gbun confirms participation, spirits were uplifted further and now there was only the wait.

                D-Day:
I had reached Bangalore by 2:30 PM on 1st march but couldn’t get to the hotel before 7:15 PM as I had some unexpected trouble and was stuck at the SVC and had some other things to fix. Finally all set and ready, lying on the bed with hopes of getting some rest, I get a ping from Mr. Porkass saying that he is still tentative, a few minutes later another ping from Gbun saying Mr. lohith might join too. Me Super excited.

At around 9:00 PM get a ping from Cheta as well as Porkass, confirming participation. Happy with the participation I actually had done a chicken dance of sorts in the privacy of my room

The meeting point was just after the NICE road exit on Mysore road at 1:45 AM. Everybody arrives on time. After a round of Hi Hellos we continue. Stopped in a little while for tiny tea break, after Gbun had his cup of elixir we decided to move on and the next stop was Mysore, we were doing a casual 75kmph and reached Mysore by 4:10 AM, after a small butt break where Porkass and PG shared an intimate moment, decided to continue on to the Ooty road.

Everyone except me needed a fuel up hence went searching for a fuel station, found one just a little ahead of Mysore, good 15 minutes later we continue again. The plan was to reach Bandipur by 6:00 AM so nobody was in a hurry, we were riding casually and safely. Without any incident we reached Bandipur by 5:55 AM

                Gbun and his dog connection

On reaching Bandipur, everybody was enjoying the nice cold climate except for PG, PG had not worn his gloves and was nothing short of shivering. For a little while he couldn't even talk without a stutter Decided to get a nice cup of hot cup of tea, only to realize that the milk hadn’t arrived yet it was here when cheta decided to baptize Tapabrata as typo a short wait and couple of tea cups later we decided to head on when our youngest rider Mr. PG decided claimed his wrist was hurting due to his "tight clutch" and if we could wait a little longer, extending our break a little further and after a session of Bajaj bashing we decided to continue.

Moments later we entered and an entirely different world. If someone asked me why do you bother to ride so far, places like this would be my answer. Everything about Bandipur was beautiful, from the silent roads to the animals moving around freely. You truly get the feeling of being natures’ guest over here.

There wasn’t much greenery but it was the serenity of the place that was so much more appealing.
