Can you post more pics of ZMA from riders angle and side views. Is the ZMA console still on it or is it the FZ one ?
    Rocky

Have put the wide handle bar, FZ-S headlight and indicators with the ZMA speedo mounted on top. Had to make special brackets for accommodating the headlight and the speedo. The light is far better than the stock ZMA...however, the indicator flasher keeps conking off!!!

Removing the faring has had its impact on the aero-dynamics, but I guess it's about getting used to it. The tyres are Duro (front & rear). Considering, the main aim of the ride was off-roading...the bike handled pretty well. Overall a nice experience and I must say a commendable job done by KRP on both the 220 and the ZMA.

Will try putting up pictures as per your requirement.

Ken: Waiting for more updates and the videos!

    Cheers

          It may be the case.

For the headlamp output..is it still on 35W bulb or a higher wattage one..??

          1. Removed the fairing.
          2. Pulsar 180 headlight came on in the new bracket.
          3. Stayed with the original console. The whole job was way more complicated than that of the Zma and took much longer as well.
          4. Removed the clip-ons (very important) and put the straight handlebar as you can see (very important also for off-road riding and control)
          5. Front tyre changed to tube type DURO. Rear tyre changed to Tubeless CEAT Vertigo.
          6. Length of clutch cable changed perforce to the longer original P180 version.

Did not remove the front mudguard, nor did I put braces for the shocks!
Quite an interesting mods there Ken on your 220..!

Its coming. And of course... people are waiting for your side of the story too! How your devious mind thinks to make stops so that you get to eat more! Not that I am complaining.

We rode down the other side to Gramphoo. As expected Nitin found us a place to stop and eat! Mutton rice, two plates for him, one for me and Rajma-Rice for Vivek!

Yet again talking to the dhaba owner at Gramphoo we realized that Kaza would be inaccessible.

                        The competitive man

And the man behind it all...At Chhatru Bridge

We had some more bad news at the Chhatru Bridge tented dhabas, but nothing that we did not know already. We were told that we would not be able to make it to either Chandrataal due to too much of snow or Batal due to landslides! But we decided to continue nonetheless. We crossed another landslide area being cleared by the JCB machines of the BRO. More slush and mud. And finally we came to a place where there were huge rocks and boulders lying on the road blocking it completely and local villagers passing by on foot said that there were even more of such landslides up ahead. And BRO had not even reached there. There was no way that traffic could move up ahead on this stretch in the next 3-4 days.

Dejected and disappointed we took the only choice left for us, back to Manali. This time we did not stay at Vashist. We stayed at a hotel in Manali. Vivek got some Old Monk. Nitin got us a whole lot of food. And you know what happened after!

Some photographs on the way back

We may have been dejected and disappointed temporarily of not being able to go much beyond Chhatru. We started weighing our options of other places... little did we realise then that our fun had not even started!
