This has been very exciting and informative for me as well. This is what most of us have been missing for so long. Trail biking has its own incomparable thrill and charm indeed. I could feel the thrills just reading your narrative. And I know this genre of biking is not easy at all. Balance, patience and real skills are required to stay upright on those roads. You all are getting younger and more adventurous by the day. Keep discovering new avenues for yourself and keep inspiring the youth. Kudos until the next installment!Originally posted by ken cool View PostDay5 16th Sept.-09.
This was arguably one of the most exciting motorcycling rides that I have ever undertaken. And definitely the most learning experience. I did things that I could never have imagined possible on a motorcycle.
Concluded.

You are really fast. Thanks to literate people like you who still want to read and can read that I still continue to write. Like I told you in the conversation some months ago that I had stopped writing. Feels good to be sincerely read. The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Read the whole thread
... Sorry for not reading it properly the first time n asking you a question that you had already talked about in day 1...
One thing that you all have done is inspired me to try out trail biking myself... Always love the concept but never had the guts to try i can say... One thing i know for sure though is that i will have to considerably imporve my skills before i can try any of the things that i saw in your videos... Like climbing the rock face... It is not very often on these threads that you see people going on an offroad trip... N i could seriously feel the thrill of going on one through your write up, pictures and videos... Surely could see the passion that you have for biking coming through.... Thankyou for sharing such a nice trip... Sorry again for not reading properly the first time...

Excellent narrative of the dirt trail! Precisely my cup of tea
.. wish I was there with you folks ....
Nonetheless, i would be thankful if you could give me more details on how to get to the dirt trails you undertook, both to Jakho Tibba and Mashobra ... I'd love to jitter my bones at the earliest .. thanks

You can get these routes from the SMC guys. They all have a detailed map handy and they are ever ready to help you out. Loved to interact with them.Originally posted by archistar View Postfantastic Ken da....

Thanks. I was just joking. Do not mind. There are people who read... others don't. I am glad you do!Originally posted by R15freak View PostKen and the art of writing!
A beautifully written travelogue! Im not surprised that you got mad over the fact that people have lost the habit of reading, considering the effort that you put in to write!
Nice pictures and great videos too!
I will never be able to make it to Jakho Tibba on my own. I will have to go there with Aneesh. But Mashobra-Baikalti is clearly on the Map of SMC. Ask it from them and load it on to your GPS. It is a nice and easy trail.Originally posted by kurtrules View PostExcellent narrative of the dirt trail! Precisely my cup of tea

You can improve skills only if you go and do it. Try doing it. But also remember, on such trips, be with someone who is relatively good. That way, you learn more by looking at him.Originally posted by prashanth lobo View PostRead the whole thread

Hats off to Aneesh. He is simply too good. Thanks to Vivek who has been pushing me to do this for the past 2 years. And what to say of Nitin... he is one guy with a helluva spirit. More than most that one comes across. He is no run of the mill... do not ever write him off, even if he is 2 minutes behind you!Originally posted by mav1234 View Postman man man...

U 3 are maniac ( in good sense of course ) really... hats of to u ken sir..
@Sunny: Somehow I multiquoted you and you did not appear on the text! But hey, thanks for your comments. It was a great discovery for myself as well, this kind of biking. And I do intend continuing this kind of thing, coz today I realise the benefits. The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

I do remember the days way before the server crash when I use to wait for a trip log from you. Yet again, enjoyed the write up. Brilliant stuff.
Some of the questions I had to ask:
Any suspension crashing issues on the 220? Like the front suspension crashing on small bumps while riding moderately fast? I'm scared of riding the 200 too fast on rough roads, if there is a little load on the front suspension and if there is a small dip, there u go, crashes. I cross checked this with every other 200 and the suspension crashes much more easily than the 220 if you have plans of riding fast on bad roads.
As for the puncture, did you guys try to find the nail or whatever caused the puncture? Maybe removing it and plugging it, and then using the Inflating liquid would've done a better job on the TTR? I did see a picture of Vivek sitting right below the rear tyre of the TTR, I suppose he was searching for the source.Last edited by silver_falcon_46; 09-30-2009, 02:51 PM.sigpic

Silver: TTR has a 'tubed' front & rear. We did try removing the nail and using the sealant, however, it didn't work.Originally posted by silver_falcon_46 View PostAs for the puncture, did you guys try to find the nail or whatever caused the puncture? Oh! Sorry, missed out on that point if at all you guys mentioned it somewhere. Yup, spokes cannot house tubeless. Forgot about that.Originally posted by nitinjit View PostSilver: TTR has a 'tubed' front & rear. We did try removing the nail and using the sealant, however, it didn't work.
