+1. Manali is jarring to the senses nowadays.Originally posted by ken cool View PostSome 75 kilometres short of Vashist, I prefer staying at Vashist rather than Manali which I find resembles Karol Bagh more than anything else, Vivek, Nitin and I stopped to have samosas.
No photo of that??! I would've loved to see it. It sounds surreal indeedOriginally posted by ken cool View PostI looked and marveled at the guy selling gol gappas at 3600 metres altitude. His backdrop was amazing, standing at the edge of a 1000 foot precipice against snow covered mountains, selling gol gappas; this was nothing short of surreal! Salvador Dali would have been pleased.
Keep them coming Ken. Your logs of late have a razor sharp pace to it, like one of them Bourne movies.

CEAT Vertigo! They are good dual purpose tyres. I like them. But I do have a problem with the front end on tarmac!Originally posted by silver_falcon_46 View Post
Are the tyres behind CEAT?
Damn you missed her! Vivek had got it last weekend at the off-road track. I had real good fun finally on that bike over there.Originally posted by Shivanshu View PostWow what a trip so far....

Now you recognise my "signature style" in my photographs? I do not

Damn Sunny, you made me all nostalgic and mushy! I really enjoyed that ride, especially those parts... Gramphoo-Losar-Kaza!Originally posted by Sunny View PostJejus! So you guys were going THAT far.
@Ken: does it remind me of a man named Krishnendu riding the Kinetic Blaze like a whirlwind and Blazing past all machines on the road somewhere in the Himalayas in 2006. Boy do I remember that moment, you rode like the devil possessed you or maybe all the mad dogs in the Himalayas were behind your tail (Choose One!).
Amazing, amazing journey, and all that snow is just so inviting. More!
I threw them away... they must be lying around somewhere... just come and pick em up!Originally posted by Lost Soul View Postalso did u sell the fairing and other parts ? . i needed a projector .
Oh, you won't believe MG. You shoulda been there...Originally posted by MG_Biker1806 View PostToo good.I'm in love with the pictures specially the ones around the Rohtang. And if you say that fun is yet to start then I'm glued to this thread

Finally, I got to see the pictures.
More than the snow or the bikes, I loved the few pictures where we have green hills WITH snow covered tips. Really beautiful views past Rohtang, I see.
Please do post more such pictures. And thanks for sharing these lovely vistas; I so wish to ride there soon.:)

've seen Ken da, Vivek bhaiya and Nitinjit bhaiya on dirt-track a couple of times and they really carry the spirit of biking. and for them it is the passion that is making them younger day by day...

@Ken Da - Amazing!! It's been 3 months I haven't had a ride & your write up has sprinkled salt on my wounds.... I wish if all the books could have been installed in my brain.
Great write up....enjoyed going through it, really!!
Two months left for my austerity drive to end & I've made my mind to become Mr.INDIA (invisible) for good 10 days after it.... place yet to be decided.
Respect to you for taking on such a ride & thanks for sharing it.

waiting for such a slush fest as it rained today

Come to the practise sessions, take one of our bikes, ride through the dirt and slush, a LOT of perceptions will change!Originally posted by augusta View PostWhenever it rains here, I curse the sky for making it so slushy and mucky as I hated the mud puddles and the loose tarmac. The log and pictures have completely changed my perception!
Very brave attempt and lovely pictures!
